Update: Exclusive photos from Soshified
Check out Soshified’s exclusive photos from the fanmeet with Girls’ Generation and their performance at the “SBS K-Pop Super Concert in America”.
On November 10th, Girls’ Generation held a short fanmeet and performed at the “SBS K-Pop Super Concert in America” held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California.
Girls’ Generation’s day began with rehearsals for fans who purchased VIP tickets to the concert. Fans watching the rehearsal were able to see Girls’ Generation practice the four songs they would sing later that night.
Afterwards, Girls’ Generation held a brief fanmeet for lucky VIP ticket holders in a small tent located in the vendor circle. The members were fully dressed in their outfits and makeup for “The Boys”, stunning the fans in attendance with their beautiful looks. The fanmeet began with a photo opportunity where fans were allowed to take as many photos as they liked, and the members of Girls’ Generation kindly smiled and posed with cute expressions for the cameras.
The moderator and Girls’ Generation then asked the audience for the fan who came from farthest away to see the concert, and the winner, a fan who flew from India, received a signed copy of Girls’ Generation’s “The Boys” album. Afterwards, a dance contest was held with four fans, and the members decided on a winner who was able to take a group photo with Girls’ Generation. Finally, the moderator asked that all the fans turn around and face the same direction as Girls’ Generation in order to take a large group photo, though many fans could not bring themselves to take their eyes off the nine beautiful members.

After the fanmeet, Girls’ Generation posed for photos at a red carpet event for members of the media. The concert began soon afterwards, with Tiffany, CNBLUE’s Yonghwa, and B2ST’s Kikwang serving as MCs. Tiffany, who looked beautiful adorned in a gorgeous dress, spoke in both Korean for the concert’s broadcast in Korea at a future date and in English for the primarily English-speaking audience. Though the weather was slightly chilly, Tiffany, Yonghwa, and Kikwang warmed up the audience with their jokes and ad-libs, creating an exciting atmosphere. Tiffany also mentioned that her family was in the audience watching the concert as well.
Other performers at the “SBS K-Pop Super Concert in America” included 4Minute, SISTAR, Karmin, CNBLUE, KARA, B2ST, and 2NE1. Girls’ Generation was the last group to perform and sang the Korean versions of a remixed version of “Genie”, “MR. TAXI”, “Run Devil Run”, and “The Boys”.
The concert ended with all of the performers on stage, and Tiffany, Yonghwa, and Kikwang led the artists in giving a thank you to the fans who attended the concert and cheered for them throughout the night. Together, the nine members of Girls’ Generation also waved goodbye to the audience before leaving the stage.

Despite not winning the raffle for their fanmeet, I’m totally glad I was waiting for them to pass by to enter their tent (with Yuri WAVED AT ME!!!!!!!), though my camera screwed up the recording, but still glad I got to see them sort of close, but yet so faaaar! 8D
Totally made my night right there! I wish I can meet them up close, but next time. I really hope they can have their first US tour in the states (at least later next year that is, perhaps in the summer time, with a fan signing event, plus autographs, photo ops, etc.!)!
if only i have a bit more money would have gone and buy vip ticket and watch them there >.<
yeah me too . i wish i was there to support them . I’m sure all Sones who’s in there are very happy and lucky to see the SoShi Girls. thanks to SBS . congrats guys . Please always Support SNSD forever, Kansamida ^_^ I hope they can visit the Philippine Someday and have a Concert or a Show. I really want them to see in person . THAT’s is My Dream .I Already Saw SUper Junior. But My Dream Is to see the Girls.
you’ll already Make My Life complete by listening on your songs.
hey SNSD will be in Manila for the Dream Kpop Fantasy concert come January 2013 :)
I wish i was there to support them
This was the luckiest day of my life. I was at the fanmeet, first row, DIRECTLY in front of Taeyeon. OMG! I cannot believe I got them to all say hi to me. Jessica’s gaze is so unnerving though. I felt so shy when she stared at me. The fanmeet went by so fast I hope they can do another one next time.
awww so jelly. People who were able to watched the concert were very blessed!
I live in New York :(
Haha.. me too. I really wanted to go, but my parents wouldn’t let me go there. I’ve never even been to any of their concerts… D:
it was truly an amazing experience! waiting in line for
hours on end was made worth it by being front and center
for the girls’ fan meet! literally, front and center! and
though it wasn’t the longest fan meet ever, it sure felt
like it! having the girls less than five feet in front of you
with absolutely nothing to obstruct your view can make
fifteen minutes seem like a lifetime! i was even able to
get some of the girls to look at my iPhone while i took
pictures! and what i will say about our girls, in it’s simplest
form is…antis and doubters will claim that the sincere
image of our girls is just an act…but after looking our girls
in the eyes for those precious fifteen minutes…you know
those antis couldn’t be further from the truth…you can’t
fake who you are when someone is looking you right in
the eyes…you can see the concern, the love as they survey
the mass of sone in front of them…i will never forget that
moment, when i looked into their eyes and saw then genuine
love…best snsd moment i’ve ever experienced…and then
their performance (i also loved sistar! bora!) was impeccable!
the girls had every right to be tired, to be cold and unenthusiastic,
but they put on a very powerful performance! one that made
all of us warm up with excitement as they dominated that stage!
it’s all over now, but the memories, their stares, will forever
be imprinted in my mind…and i am very thankful for that! :-)
Ah i was about 20 people behind you in line and to your left inside the tent. I was next to the other white guy in the white hoodie. I had on a maroon jacket and a buzzed haircut. Hahah you shouldve done the dance contest. I had my hand up until she said your best “soshi” dance, and then they didnt even do soshi dances! I wouldve done it had i known it would be random dancing lol. Anyways hope to meet you at another gg event
Amen to that. XD
Glad being one of SONEs….. I wish to experience the same thing too. One day! They are sooo gorgeous and stunning as always! :)
i”m so so happy for you and the rest of the Sones who were at the fanmeet:)
Lucky fans….
Soooo jealouse they can see closely and attract with SNSD
I wish I could have went…I only live 15 mins away! :(
nice
I saw the press conference and the fans were really freaking out! lol I would be too if I was in their presence, hehe. :) I wish I lived in Cali because the girls are always there! :p I want to see them perform in NJ or NYC next year…I’m waiting for that day. Plus, I’m dying for their English album to come out too! <333
these people are so lucky!! & plus, from india!? whao.. kudos to him/her. i can’t wait for SMTsg.. *squeals*
SBS knows what’s up when they let Soshi be the ones to perform last. Good job SBS, much respect to you. Aw Fany’s family showed up to support their baby angel and her group, so very sweet of them. I’m so happy for babygirl. She looks beautiful in her gown and of course all our Soshi looking gorgeous in their stage costumes. Those lucky Sones better cherish this moment for the rest of their lives, i sure would if i had the chance to go. i’m still keeping faith that one of these day i’m going to finally see these angels with my own 2 eyes. thanks SSF for update. :)
btw the Karmin group, isn’t that an American duo group? maybe that’s another group i’ve never heard of. anyway it’s awesome if it’s the duo. :)
So jealous. Really wanted to be there snsd watch the girls practice and then take whatever amount if pictures they wanted plus get their autographs. My god wish I was there. Hope u girls get some rest back in Korea before heading off to Japan. Love u Girls! Fighting!
I am so glad that Girls’ Generation had a very good time performing at the concert last night. I know that they will be back in the US once again for their American debut next year. So that means all of the SONEs across the United States have plenty of time to get ready for Girls’ Generation’s big US debut. And I hope that I can meet the girls in person very soon. I also will anticipate the girls’ American debut album. There’s no doubt in my mind that everyone will definitely love Girls’ Generation
I attended it! It was cold, but you know…
GIRLS GENERATION MAKE YOU FEEL THE HEAT
Tiffany is the best MC ever
I WAS THERE WHEN SNSD PERFORMED I ALMOST PASSED OUT!!!!!!!!!
Completely and utterly worth the $427 for the vip tickets, met some really awesome sones and ended up sitting next to some really wonderful karaholic staff that took me in for the rest of the night. I ended up with karaholics, a few sones, some b2st fans, and a few sistar fans who actually ended up escorting the lonely dasom to cvs and back lol and one 4mintue guy who was great as well. Fan meet was pretty great although after waiting in line for 4 hours we ended up waiting inside the tent crammed up so close to each other for another hour and a half because they were running late but I think the whole experience was worth it.
Waow, those lucky fans …….Wish I could have been there…!
Seohyun-ah….so pretty…………..
I am so out of date, only knew this was happening while it was happening. It is awesome how they had a mini fanmeet, I’m happy for the fans.
oh man, does anyone know if the dance concert was to snsd songs or was it freestyle? if it was snsd, i wouldve all genie on all of them
Lucky American SONEs :) !
My sincerest wish is that they do something like that in Singapore too ;).
That will be Epic indeed :D.
Cheers !
Kenneth.
I’m so glad Tiffany’s family was in the audience! I wonder if they go to all her American concerts. I hope so! I wish I could have gone to it. They need another east coast one so I can! :D
OMG so jealous of those fans with VIP tickets… they get to see SNSD practice and take pictures with them!!! Wish I could have been there :(
