The title track of the fifth Japanese single will be the Japanese remake of the Korean hit single, “Oh!”. The double A-side single will also feature “All My Love Is For You” and will be released on September 26th. The ringtone and music video for the Japanese version of “Oh!” featuring updated visuals is scheduled for release on September 14th.
Following the brief promotion period of “PAPARAZZI”, Girls’ Generation is now headed back to Japan to promote “Oh!”. On September 24th, the girls will perform on Fuji TV’s “HEY!HEY!HEY! Music Champ”. This performance marks the girls’ sixth appearance on the program, with their latest having been the July 9th performance of “PAPARAZZI”. The girls are also scheduled to make their first appearance on Nippon TV’s “Music Lovers”. The program will be recorded on September 25th, but the air date is still undetermined.
Also to be released on September 26th is the “Complete Video Collection“, which features most of Girls’ Generation’s Korean and Japanese music videos, as well as re-edited performances from the first Japanese tour. The limited edition of video collection also includes behind-the-scenes music video footage and an interview in which the girls review their own music videos.
Recently, Girls’ Generation released a schedule for their second Japanese tour. The tour will bring the girls to six different cities and consists of a total of fourteen concerts. It is set to begin on February 9, 2013 at the Kobe World Kinen Hall in Kobe, Japan and will conclude on April 10, 2013 at the Nihon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan.

woah that’s cool! :D
their japenese songs are awesome but korean version are still the best!
hahahas ‘oh’ finally hav a jap version!
Awesome. I’ve been waiting a long time for this!
I think the interesting thing will be to see what the music video for Oh will be like. I feel like they have matured a significant amount since they released Oh and Oh has to be there most immature video they have ever done. I can’t imagine them now dancing around in the outfits and doing the actions they did in Oh! Hopefully they will do something different, that reflects there more mature image. It will be interesting to see what they come up with. Oh Oh Oh Oh!
I think it is important to note that this is a double single and the reason it is a double single is because Oh is the second track. I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t be getting a double single if both tracks were brand new. Meaning if they were going to release All My Love Is For You without Oh then that is all we would be getting, just like Paparazzi, only a single track.
I look forward to hearing it, seeing the music video, and owning the album. If I supported them when they did Genie (Japanese version), Gee (Japanese version), Run Devil Run (Japanese version), then Oh (Japanese version) is no exception.
Am I the only one happy about this? Oh is one of their songs with great choreography and they are known in Japan for their great synchronization. This is for their Japanese fans so we are not in any position to complain. We should just wait for their international album. LOL
I am excited to watch them perform Oh again. They don’t perform it during concerts and performances any more.
Should I be disappointed with this? o.o The first thing that popped into my head when I read the news was “Are we gonna see the return of long haired Sunny?!” LOL
Honestly I don’t mind a remake of this song (it’s amongst my top 5 favorite songs of SNSD) even if it is a little late but really it seems backwards almost. All My Love Is For You should have been the title track. That makes more sense to me.
i agree with everyone except i blame their Japan label more for going this route. if they keep doing this i’m afraid Soshi will start to lose fans. people won’t take them seriously as entertainers, they’ll look at them as the recycling group. i hope to god when their English debut finally arrives, i hope Interscope doesn’t remake any of their Korean songs or Japanese songs. just go from scratch, start brand new and no more remaking. anyway i’ll wait to see how this sounds and what the MV gonna be like. thanks SSF for news update.
gosh. so much negativity towards this news O_O
but, I for one love this song!! and the Japanese really like Oh! so why not make a Japanese versoin? heheh i really missed their cute style and I dont mind seeing it again! :D
its a new MV!! wooohooo! hopefully it’ll be energetic and fun like the korean version :)
i think SM need to fire staff ,,how the shit they making OH jappanese ver after 100o years ???
omfg are they that dumb ?
Hmm… I guess that is a problem when the management company controls and decides on everything that their artists will do in terms of song promotions. Idols don’t actually have any say on their schedules and promotions, as far as I know (if they have, then they have very little say as far as I know). We, especially the international fans, tend to be disappointed with these kind of things. I guess we have to root for the Girls to have more say when it comes to their promotions sooner or later.
But I guess a lot of the Japanese fans are waiting for this as well: They are the target market for this one, obviously. It really makes me wonder who in SMEnt is in charge of their Japanese activities. Right now, everything looks so haphazard and “on the fly”. It does make me wonder that, despite the Japanese releases of Genie, Gee, and Run Devil Run, they all of a sudden forgot about Oh!? Who is the genius that overlooked that part, anyway? You’d think that in their first foray to Japan in late 2010 and early 2011, they’d already included Oh! in the Japanese versions. So why only now? What is SMEnt and Universal Japan up to?
Well, I do hope that in their next Japanese album, Oh! is the only remake and they’d focus on the original Japanese songs. I for one loved the first Japanese album, especially the original Japanese songs there.
disappointing, but still anticipating! hope TaeYeon is going to give out other great news for us SONES! i’m hoping for a Korean Comeback!
Looks to me like a lot of people here are having the same reaction I am: disappointment and confusion.
Disappointed because with the release of a totally new Japanese song “All my Love is for You”, it seemed as though this single would boast yet another exclusive Japanese song. Sure, I believe that the Japanese audience is excited. Just like I would be if it was announced the SNSD would be releasing any of their hits in English. But as a general SONE, I am disappointed. Although I do look forward to the music video.
Confusion: why is this coming so late SM? you have already released the sequel song to Oh! (Run devil Run) in Japanese AND produced 3 original Japanese songs + an entire japanese album. To release such an old song now seems like a copout and makes me wonder if the originally planned title song was something else until it went south. Unfortunately I will never know..I just feel a little jipped.
Total Disappointment :| AMLIFY is a better title track.
DaeBak! They are so Busy arent they~ 9 angels~ Please take good care of our body~ <3 you! From SONE all around the world!
^0^
Definitely disappointed. I don’t even keep the Japanese versions of their Korean songs like Gee, Genie, Run Devil Run etc. on my iPod. They’re not as good, so why even waste space when I can listen to the originals.
I also feel like this detracts from their growing image. They’ve had steadily maturing songs, and now they’re going back to promote and shoot a new mv for their most cutesyist song? Seems backwards. Don’t get me wrong, I love Oh! but I just don’t like this move. I don’t see why they have to make Japanese versions of all their hits. If they made it in the US, I certainly wouldn’t expect English versions of their previous hits, I would want new songs.
Oh! I love this song and Idefinitely would love to hear it in Japanese! I was hoping for a new song but this is good too:)
the girls are making their way back to japan!
i hope japanese sone are getting excited for
the upcoming events! and i am very excited
for the new music video! even though it is a
remake, it always has a new twist, the girls
are different, and they will bring their experience
to this music video and make it a lot f fun! but
i would be lying if i said i wasn’t disappointed with
them remaking an old song…after paprazzi and
all my love is for you…i was looking forward to
another awesome, original japanese single, but
this will have to do…and soshi in any form is good
soshi! :-)
This makes me wonder why they waited so long to make a Japanese version when Gee was on the same album and already made into Japanese along with other songs like Genie. Well at least it’s getting down now. Oh was the first song that I really connected an interest in SNSD. It’ll be nice having it being promoted again. :D I can’t wait!
I AM SO EXCITED FREAKING OUT I CAN’T THINK THIS IS CRAZY I AM SO HAPPY OMG I LOVE OH IT IS MY JAM
Just a few days ago thinking about it, but I never thought they actually release oh! japanese version. Snd now they actually release it. Waiting for the release :D
Bit dissapointed, wanted new song. Blame SM.
SM have too many stars to focus on… That’s why~
This is what Taeyeon was talking about with the fans on Music Core then, awesome :)
honestly i want a new song, not japanesse version of an old song
but i’m still happy
I AM FANBOYING SO HARD
