It's 5th August a huge holiday for Sones. It's 5th anniversary of amazing nine debut. You came through a lot since the early days, it made you mature a lot. It made you more mature in one finger than entire me. You've had the best debut song one could dream of... great song, great lyrics, great dance and you - cute, gorgeous, innocent and talented young girls following their dream, ready to show themselves to the world. The song is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. It always makes me feel a little bit better but seems it's not strong enough to get me out of this hole of being sad and beating myself up. Not to mention how beautiful the lyrics are - well I can't fine good words - about friendship and love that makes you almost fly with hope and faith. Doesn't matter if it's about bond with sister or Sones or someone else that you didn't disclose, it's priceless and I envy you that.
The thing I sometimes think about if the timing because no matter what I say about ITNW now I wasn't there then. For me it's only somewhat over 2 years with you so I wonder what would I say if I heard you 5 years ago - debut performance. Would I be here now or not? Would I even like you?
Still ITNW is one of the first song I've heard. I actually missed/wished for the song on SMTown in Paris 2011 but well...
Watching the shows and performances I believe the things I see are true, of course some parts of you can be private. I really hope I'm not the most gulible idiot on earth. Plus I hope to meet/talk to/hug you one day, maybe tomorrow, in a month, year, 10, 20 years.

As for the sort of birthday wishes... you had party already but anyway... we all know how talented you all are and how big are your hearts and because of that you deserve the best. I wish you success in every aspect of your life is it private life or 소녀시대 life. This cruel world needs your warmth, so spread more and more worldwide.(maybe a solo somwhere close to me? like schengen europe? the closer the better)
I know you can do it as the hard working, respectful and passionate girls with their feet on the ground we all know and love.

Take care of yourselves, stay healthy because this is more important then the schedules and you know we care very much.
Remember that unless(for me at least) something huge happens that would change my look on you I and all the Sones will be by your side. Whether it's group activities, solo career, acting, MCing, stepping out to start family or anything you choose we'll wish you the best and we'll be there when you need us.

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY GIRLS' GENERATION

Words cannot express how thankful I am towards you girls. You girls really are an inspiration to me. Throughout the years I have seen you grow that I cant help but to feel like a proud parent (haha as cheesy as that sounds). Im your same age but you have accomplished so much that I look up to you all! You really give me strength! You make me happy when you are acting like dorks, you make me cry when you win awards, and so on.

I have to say, you are the only group where Ill literally go broke for hahaha. Asking for loans, working extra shifts, selling different things, and so on. I dont mind doing that if I will be able to see you. You girls work so hard for us SONEs so in return I really like to be at whatever event possible if I can to show my love and support. I was unable to make it to the fansign this past February because of the late notice but one day....and I hope its this September....I hope I can finally meet you face to face and say THANK YOU. Ill probably cry afterwards but its all good

To my lovely Girls' Generation, congratulations on your 5th anniversary. Hi! haha I started to write this expecting that I could something close to what I feel for you guys but the more I think about what you mean to me, the harder time I have to put it into words. I haven't been through most of your trouble and success in real time, but I have seen how far you have come even if I joined in a little late. I could never imagine a group of people so far away could make me laugh so hard and cry so much. I feel like the luckiest person alive to have stumbled upon such a beautiful group of talented girls like you. I regret so much not being a SONE earlier, but from now on I will stay a SONE until forever ends.

Taeyeon. You are hands down the best kid leader in the history of anything. I look up to you so much. Your beautiful, strong, perfect voice never ceases to amaze me every time I hear it. It gives me goose bumps every time you sing those high notes! You're such a hard worker and I believe that you are one of the most talented and genuine people in the world. Not to mention your silly, random personality that shines through at any time. Your bright smiling face and your ajumma laugh is jjang! Thank you for being who you are, my lovely unnie, Taengoo. ^^

Jessica. You are indeed the ice princess. And a very beautiful one at that. ^^ I love how you can space out at any time and still be beautiful while doing it. haha Your random outbursts of pretty much anything are one of the best things about you. I love the fact that you can speak English. That sounds dumb but I can't help but feel more connected to you when you speak English. haha And your unique voice is very admirable. Keep being your random and spacing out self! haha

Sunny! Oh Sunny Bunny! I couldn't imagine aegyo could be that cute until I saw you! You can be cute without even trying. Your bright smile is only succeeded by your bright personality. You have so much talent and I feel that you are the perfect addition to Soshi to be the cute energy pill of the group. Your voice is so pure and surprisingly strong, but it can be cute at the same time. Pretty much everything about you in some way is cute. haha

Tiffany. You are the strongest person I think I have ever known. Your determination to follow your dream is undeniably amazing. I could never imagine being this young and leaving my family to chase my dream but that's exactly what you did. I'm glad everything you have worked for has come true. When ever I might feel down, I'll think of your situation and draw strength from it. You are such a bright girl with an eye smile that cannot be beat. It make me smile when you do. Don't stop being the best person you can be!

Hyoyeon. I can't comprehend your dancing skills. I've seen great dancers. They're great, but you are on another level of awesome when it comes to dancing. Your fierce popping style was your strength but you can adapt to any kind of dance and totally rock it! You are always so cheerful and I love your genuine smile. You are such a talented girl that makes me crack up all the time. You are such a dork sometimes and I absolutely love it. haha

Yuri. I also can't comprehend your dancing skills. You have such a sweet voice and I admire your all around talent and adorkableness. You are arguably one of the most sexy members and you can rock any dance that is thrown at you. Your shining happy personality is one that anyone would love to see and I think your approachable and nice ways are something to be admired.

Sooyoung! Shikshin. How are you so skinny even though you eat more than me! >.< You are such a funny person and your Christina impersonation and screaming will never fail to make me crack up! Even though you can be crazy, you have a real genuine personality and I feel that your hard work has shined through. I can see you shine on stage when you look so elegant when you are dancing and so sweet when you are singing. You are truly an amazing person that doesn't lack an ounce of anything.....except maybe fat. haha

Yoona. Your bright, fresh personality just makes me happy every time I see you. I think your alligator laugh is great and your young personality makes my day every time. Your unexpected humor is one of the best aspects about you. Not to mention you are radiating with beauty. Your lovely facial features are not something to go unnoticed. You have such potential in everything you could try, so just keep on doing things! haha

Seohyun. Maknae Seohyun. I never would have guessed you were the maknae if I didn't look it up! haha You are such a beautiful girl that has a talent for sing. Your voice is so lovely and it has a quality to it that just make you love it! I love your quirkiness and how absolutely genius you are. I can't believe someone so young is so ambitious about learning and pursuing such lofty goals. You are nothing short of amazing!

I can't say enough how thankful I am for each one of your existence. I couldn't imagine my life without you and I'm glad that I get to share the happiness as a SONE with Girls' Generation. Words can't even describe how proud and happy I feel to be celebrating your fifth anniversary along with other SONEs. I haven't been here since the beginning, but it feels like it. Right now, I remember all the moments I cherished you, cheered for you, and looked up to you as an inspiration (which is constantly). To Girls Generation (aka SoNyuhShiDae 소녀시대):

I can't believe how fast time passes when I remember my first time (around July/August 2009) witnessing 9 lovely girls from a music video, Gee, I was literally blown off of my seat seeing your cheerful smiles and upbeat dancing shown in the video... As time passed by, I then saw Genie, which practically made me an official SONE from that point forward!!!!

Next, after that start of my life, was seeing your next music videos (whether in Korean or Japanese), Oh!, Run Devil Run, Hoot, The Boys (btw out of all of the songs I loved to listen to on the CD, the second one would be 'How Great is Your Love'...), Paparazzi, etc. Some I enjoyed and some were pretty decent in my view, but nonetheless, you girls gave us the biggest hype of the past couple of years! Even now, I'd go listen to your first music video ever made that showcased your abilities as a whole.

I'm glad I watched you girls, otherwise my life would've been utterly boring... I love you girls as a whole: ranging from the cute, dorky, kid leader, but yet a GODDESS, Taeyeon; the ice cool, but warm in heart Jessica; the expert of aegyo and cheery-ness, Sunny; the pink-loving professional at using the eye-smile, Tiffany!; the laughing, cheerful, dance machine of the group, Hyoyeon; the black pearl with a sexy body, Yuri; the tallest, hungriest (God of Food XD), and still the lovely funny gal, Sooyoung; the one that can perfect the alligator laugh plus being the angelic face of the group, Yoona; and last but not least, the smart, youthful, caring, mature, and talented maknae of the group, Seohyun!!!

If you girls are planning on having a solo tour here in the US, you can guarantee me being there!! Hopefully it's close enough from home as well in California too!!!

I also am glad that there's unity in SNSD, something that helped you girls succeed, even in times of pain! You girls represent what a team can and must do in order to have success in the music industry, something other (new-coming/beginner) groups can learn from you girls!

It's interesting that out of all of the music videos you girls released, the one that made me feel happy and sad at the same time was 'Dear Mom'... I mean for crying out loud, I'm a man, I thought men weren't supposed to cry!!!! But I guess I can start sobbing into a song that makes me think about how our mothers cared for us since we were born.... Makes me think a lot of the sacrifices she made to ensure that me and my sister have a great life in the states. I better hope I can do something nice for her, before she 'retires'... It made me even realize that even though you girls are all cheerful, sometimes you can have depressing moments in life and you all endured it in ways I cannot even fathom. But with sadness that looms around our lives, there are also solutions to not feel too much sadness, sharing your feelings with friends and family together so that you won't feel lonely in that sense (just like when one of my family members passed on years ago)... *sighs* Anyway, rolling on before I feel more sadder than I should be. *listens to Himnae (Way To Go)*

From one of your music videos, I quote, 'You make my life complete'... Seriously, my life feels complete from watching you girls perform, to the point where I listen to you all 24/7. I'm not even sure that if I listened to a different girl group, I might not get hooked into them compared to you girls. However, you girls not only made my life complete, but we also as a whole made your lives complete by watching you all from the very first time of your debut to the present (even though I started my seeing ya girls in 2009, I look back every now and again...). After seeing your successes, I look back on my previous successes back in the day, ranging from my graduation from High School to finishing a terribly torturing Poli Sci class (it's a big success to me since it was hard to understand at times).

Happy 5th Anniversary Girls' Generation!!!! I hope you girls can live on in SNSD for another 5 years, no make that 50 years, no wait, wait, wait; 500 YEARS (ok admittedly that's a bit of a stretch, literally, but hey I can dream ahead )!!!! I hope you girls receive more love and hope from new coming SONES that will one day enjoy your group as a whole and continue to inspire us to pursue our dreams, passions, and successes into the future, just like all you nine lovely girls I've known since the magical year of '09, ironically representing the #9...
