Girls’ Generation’s latest song and album, “I Got A Boy”, has just been released, and after sweeping charts in South Korea, is now beginning to receive recognition worldwide. To help continue spreading the word about “I Got A Boy” and promoting Girls’ Generation on a global spectrum to make a Girls’ Generation world tour possible, Soshified has organized a social media campaign to bring Girls’ Generation to the forefront in the United States.
In order to participate, Soshified is asking members to use their Facebook and Twitter accounts to get the attention of major celebrities, entertainment sites, and radio stations, and to ask for “I Got A Boy” to be played on air through radio request pages. To encourage members to contribute, signed copies of “I Got A Boy” will be randomly given to fans who participate and post links to their tweets and screenshots of their Facebook posts and radio requests in this thread, where more details for the giveaways can be found. Please also post in the thread any other ideas you may have for bringing attention to Girls’ Generation in the United States.

why only US? because that’s the next HUGE MILESTONE in the girls career. if they make it in the US, that’s automatic International status for them and they’ll practically have the whole world in their palms. once recognize by US general public then all other countries (apart from Asia) will know and embrace SNSD. the girls will be able to do that solo WORLD TOUR they always talking about or thinking about.
I don’t see the girls earning that type of recognition here unless they do a 2nd all english album, and that’s probably not a good investment for SM at this time, not to mention touring in the USA would be very difficult outside of the normal strong Korean / Asian circles of NY / LA / Pacific NW for them to tour with large enough crowds to be cost effective… like in Tampa, Atlanta, etc… they probably don’t have enough public awareness, but in asian rich areas of the country, it’s easier to sell enough $500 concert tickets like they did in LA or NY.
For the radio requests pages, you guys switched Seattle’s and Los Angeles’ radios around. Seattle is 106.1 KISS FM.
Oh I forgot. Also, for the Bay Area kind of you can have SONES try WILD 94.9 :X I mean its a long shot but its worth the try for SNSD. :)

I am the kind of person that doesn’t want to pester people I don’t know when it can be cumbersome for them and it’s just going to be a mass of the same video over and over again from thousands of Sones. I almost feel sorry for them for all this, but at the same time the girls can really use the help and support. :)

From my opinion, SNSD will gain success with their upcoming song “I got a boy” in America, but I believe that this is mainly due to their experience and age. I believe a part of why PSY’ s song “GANGNAM STYLE” made sude a huge success was because he was an older comedic gentalmen. Here in America we would not have given the same respect to a child or teenager. Though we do have young singers in America, the majority is older successfuly. SNSD look more like women now rather than when they did when they performed “The Boys”. Their individuality didnt stand out as much as it does in “I got a boy”. A few sexier dance steps could lead them farther than they think because they are all beautiful. Such as with the Spice Girls. All members were 21 or above when they debuted. Very sexy group of women. not girls. So back to my main point. GG is a talented group but they could try debuting in America not so much with an American song but as an American girl group. Change the name and the style and have two groups. GG in Korean but SNSD in American. Fighting !!

I think our best shot is with “LIVE with Kelly and Michael,” since Kelly seemed to really like the girls after they were on the show, and even followed them on twitter.
She even once played TVXQ’s “Catch Me” on her show.
I’d love to see them on “Ellen,” though. Or even just have Ellen dance to the song.
