The “Playing with Girls’ Generation” fanmeet took place in Tokyo’s Yoyogi Nation Stadium on November 13th. After the girls introduced themselves to the audience, they sat back and watched five groups perform covers of various Girls’ Generation Japanese songs. These five were chosen from the over 3000 groups that participated in Niconico Video’s Girls’ Generation version of “I Tried to Dance”.
First, the girl group “Tsuruhashi Generation” showed off their shortened version of “MR. TAXI”, complete with the iconic bright yellow uniforms from the music video. Next up was the boy group “Inaho Generation”, who performed “GENIE”. After this stage, the members revealed to the girls and the audience that they had even shaved their legs in preparation for the dance. Impressed, Girls’ Generation told them, “your legs are beautiful!”
The third group, made up of eight-year-olds, called themselves “Kids Generation” and danced an adorable version of “Gee”. After that, a famous group from Fukuoka named “FNSD” showed their own take on the popular song. The last group, “Mature Ladies Generation”, put on a memorable performance of “Oh!”, and everyone in attendance enjoyed watching the 48-year-olds perform such a youthful dance.
After the covers were done, Girls’ Generation complimented all the groups and said, “we also must learn from everyone’s passion.” Then the girls took the stage to perform “Gee”, “Oh!”, and their newest Japanese single, “FLOWER POWER”. To close the event, a video was played with a digest version of the tracks from their second Japanese album, “Girls’ Generation II ~Girls & Peace~”, which will be available starting November 28th.

those are really great covers!
don’t always judge the groups by their age!
snsd jjang
All the groups are so awesome!!!
good
Awesome Japanese SONES! The girls must be tired but I guess they were energized by the fans performance. SNSD Jjang!
oh my god they are sooo amazing
my sica is sooo cute and adorable
Forgot to mention, I like that they had a fanmeet after their preforming live at the other Japanese show. I felt like they didn’t have fun there, but here you can see them laughing and smiling. I know they must extremely tired but seeing their fans must have lifted their spirits. ^^
A whole stadium for their fanmeet? Wow, so many fans!
I really like how J-sones actually cosplay their outfits, only dedicated fans do that! XD
i’ll watch this when there’s subs~ and what is up with sunny’s hair? o_o i LOVED her hair in flower power, but why does it look so bad here?
Maybe its her real hair….
Fun event to watch. Hope the girls had fun from this. Get some rest Girls
That wasn’t a full video of the fanmeet. They didn’t show the girls performing their own songs a the end. I was looking forward to that part just as much as the rest and then it was cut to the music video or some performance similar to it. Honestly, I don’t like the dance for Flower Power very much. The song is good, tho. The little girls were so darling!
quick! someone slap sunny’s new hair stylist
Uhmmmm, yeah. Glad somebody else noticed that.
3000 groups? if every group have 9 members then there were 18000 participants.. awesome Jsones!
Thank you SSF for updating. SSF jjang!
i’m going to watch after i’m done writing and hope to see Soshi pink subs later. i’ll wait patiently for you awesome subbers. i know those angels are very deeply touch of what they just witness in front of their eyes. many ages and male and female passionately showing how much they’ve worked hard and the love and respect they have for these 9 beautiful talented ladies. i love and have mad respect for JSones because they are incredibly dedicated and supportive of Soshi. KSones will always be 1st for me because they are the original Sones so JSones come 2nd. anyway it’s amazing that over 3000 groups participated but only 5 of those groups made it to the final round. The Power of 9 bringing many people to do something incredible. SNSD jjang! Proud Sone! oh and i can’t wait to hear the rest of the songs from their upcoming 2nd Japan album. :)
It’s sad that they’re not releasing a Korean album. Anyways I hope that they will still be loved all over the world!
What an opportunity! The girls have one very distinct way of showing their love and passion for us that we usually can’t reciprocate, and that is performing…at least for them to easily see. This was exactly that rare chance to show the girls how much effort the fans will put into any form of passionate affection for the girls! These Sone did not waste that opportunity! Great job! Spanning all the age groups that Sone has to offer! :-)
Inaho Generation FTW!
YoonA seemed to think so too – she looked completely awestruck XD
24:21 was foul. They left the camera on them on purpose. GG isn’t used to being in the camera light when the announcers are announcing. You don’t even see them once. You can tell they had no idea they were on camera. That is completely unprofessional of that show. I would sue.
There was nothing wrong with what they did. They were just having fun. There isn’t any reason to sue someone for enjoying themselves at a fun event. Besides, what’s there to sue? Were you there and did it hurt you personally in any way? Your comment is uncalled for.
really such a fun event….
but i still miss them to release their new korean album…
^_^
I know for sure that the girls had so much fun at the event. And I know that they had a very good time performing “Flower Power”. I hope that the girls can hold the event again next year
