On June 27th, Oricon revealed that “PAPARAZZI” reached the second spot on Oricon’s “Daily Singles” Chart. “PAPARAZZI”, Girls’ Generation’s fourth Japanese single, sold an estimated 42,525 copies on its first day of release and continues Girls’ Generation’s success with singles in Japan after “MR. TAXI”, Girls’ Generation’s third Japanese single, sold 100,461 copies in its first week of release in April of 2011. “PAPARAZZI” is also currently ranked first on iTunes Japan.
Girls’ Generation’s latest release is showing signs of being well-received both in Japan and worldwide. In addition to its strong sales numbers, “PAPARAZZI”‘s three music videos have to date accumulated a total of over ten million views on YouTube, with two more music videos to come.
