After performing at SMTown New York in late October, Girls’ Generation will be making a return trip to New York next week to promote their music and meet with fans. (Note: All times are EST.)
The following is the girls’ schedule in New York:
Monday, January 30th
10:00 AM Arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport
Tuesday, January 31st:
1:00 PM Arrive at the Ed Sullivan Theater (219 West 53rd, New York, NY 10019) to tape “The Late Show with David Letterman”
5:15 PM Begin taping of “The Late Show with David Letterman”
Wednesday, February 1st:
7:45 AM Arrive at ABC Studios (7 Lincoln Square, New York, NY 10023) to tape “LIVE! with Kelly”
9:00 AM Begin taping of “LIVE! with Kelly”
Thursday, February 2nd:
7:00 PM Girls’ Generation In-Store Autograph Signing (52 East 14th St., New York, NY 10003)
Soshified will be sponsoring a “Super Fan Contest” for all SONEs who come to New York to see Girls’ Generation. Fans that attend each of the four Girls’ Generation events listed below will receive a stamp* on their flyer and fans with at least three stamps will be entered for a chance to meet and take a group picture with Girls’ Generation and receive an autographed CD. Each member of Girls’ Generation will select the winners by random drawing at the Best Buy In-Store Autograph Signing event on Thurs. February 2, 2012. (*Each event will have differently colored stamps)
Flyers with contest rules and event and prize details will be distributed at each event, and every fan who attends each event at the designated time will receive a different-colored stamp at each event on one’s flyer.
Seven fans who attend all three events prior to the fan-signing and who come the Union Square Best Buy on February 2nd will be randomly selected by Girls’ Generation as winners of this contest.
In addition to this “Super Fan Contest”, Soshified is also sponsoring a “Facebook Contest”. Fans who attend any of the aforementioned events must take a photograph at the event and post it on their Facebook pages. Fans can then send their pictures of the event and a screenshot of the picture posted on their Facebook pages via e-mail to [email protected]. Two fans with the best pictures will be chosen, have their pictures posted on Soshified, and win autographed Girls’ Generation merchandise.

This is so unfair they say we cannot line up until 6am i go to make the line at 5:30 and theres already 300 ppl there who has been there since 1am… Thats what happens when u follow the rules i guess
I know right? I thought that because there wouldn’t be anyone lining up outside so I got there at 5:30 but i saw how people were camping out outside. Never gonna trust Best Buy for a long time. They said that if they see people doing that, they would clear the place.
i totally freaked out when i saw Sunny laughing, it was so unreal seeing the angels on Letterman, . the remix was awesome, so proud of the girls….

Apparently you do. I’m so upset, I’ve been waiting for this since the announcement.
There’s no way I’ll be able to do this with school, and I probaly won’t be able just ask someone for a wristband.
Umm so you don’t need to get the wristband and cd purchase in order to get an autograph signing? Is this only for the contest?

Wristband you get with cd purchase and it’s for the autograph. bestbuy at union square is 24 hours during the week. You can all go hang out in there until 8 am.
Any details about the group picture contest would have to be from the organizers from soshified.

Just saw the girls performing on TV!!! And of course they didn’t fail to impress. They were spectacular!! Looooved them!!!
Just watched and that was awesome. Seemed to be a new mix of the song. A bit croweded on that stage, but they pulled it off. Dave and company seemed pleased and he gave Sooyoung the football. I wonder if Regis came out because they are going to be on his old show tomorrow? Can’t say I’d blame him. ;-)

it’s actually good that Murray and Regis were on, because you could get their reactions. Regis was stoked! couldn’t stop blowing that whistle lol.
the girls probably don’t even realize that Murray is an Oscar nominated Best Actor and Regis is the longest serving TV host in American history

So this is how i think this works, you can start lining up on thursday at 6am inside of bestbuy to get the cd. The purchase of the cd also gives you the wristband. They wont start selling it until 8am and once 300 mark is hit, they’ll cut off the line. Once you have the cd and wristband you can leave best buy and come back later at 7pm where you’ll get to enter to meet all 9 of them. Theres gonna be a single line instead of 9 separate lines, so you’ll get a chance to meet them all. This is according to their Best Buy Union Square 14th Street facebook page

I wish Soshified would step in and help the situation. It seems like they’re saying we can’t form a line outside before 6, problem is though as some people mentioned, people will definitely be there before that. That means once it turns 6 everyone will run to the line and chaos erupts. It would be nice (and safe) if Soshified could step in and organize people PRE line up so that people don’t get hurt.
I also agree with the crowd control thing. Most likely people will be camping out way before 6 and I doubt that the whole buying their CD and getting the wristband ordeal won’t be chaotic. If anything, due to the 300 person limit, it’ll be seriously hectic especially after I saw how many people came to see the girls at the Letterman studio. If that many showed up just to see them pass by and give occasional autographs, imagine how many people would be storming into Best Buy to get an actual chance to have a one-on-one with them for however many seconds.
Aw, I don’t know where to loiter around if I get there early. Any sone group meetings before the line up?
