Girls’ Generation has once again been invited to the FNS Music Festival, hosted by Fuji Television and Fuji Networks System. The FNS Music Festival will be showcasing some of the biggest names in the Japanese music industry with a variety of performances and collaborations, which will turn into a mammoth four hour broadcast. This event will honor the many achievements the artists have accomplished throughout the year. The event will be held on December 7th, 2011 at 7pm JST.

After a successful release of their self-titled “Girls’ Generation” original Japanese album, which was certified double platinum shipping over 900,000 copies since first being released on May 31st, a first among Korean female group artists. They also held a national tour that saw over 140,000 fans come to watch the concert. Appearances at both Summer Sonic 2011 and at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan certainly helped to solidify their popularity and impact on the Japanese music scene. The girls have certainly reached many milestones during their time in Japan and this will only add to that growing list of achievements.

This will be the second time that Girls’ Generation has been invited to this prestigious event, as they also appeared last year where they performed the Japanese versions of their hit singles “Gee” and “Genie”. Other Korean artists that will be appearing alongside them this year include BoA and first-time attendee KARA.
