[INTERVIEW] SNSD Interview with newspaper reporter
Posted 29 June 2008 - 06:52 PM
I really think this interview is showing a lot how truly and honest they are. They know what people are expecting or not expecting from them but their motivation is the best to lead them to their dream.
lol despite the reporter did not write their name out, I can sense some of their names in the answers. I absolutely this interview. Their answer is out of my expectation. They all are obviously growing up a lot.

Someone needs to post this in the SNSD thread at soompi because every fan should read this.
I like how this interview doesn't have your typical generic questions. It's simply genuine.
I like this.I am here because of Girl’s Generation but Girls’ Generation isn’t here because of me.”

I'm almost positive it's Seohyun that said she wanted to be a lawyer? I saw a translated article earlier on asianfanatic about Seohyun and I was surprised that I haven't read it before, but then I read this interview..

It depresses me to hear the: (I had a dream, but I gave up on it long ago) but this is what happens when you persue one of your dreams you have to give up another.
They also showed an understanding of fans mentality (although they may feel frustrated/ annoyed when fans approach them in a restaurant, they know that if they were in the fans' position they would have done the same.)
I love these girls more and more and this interview shows how baseless the arguments the antis make really are.
Fany rocks. Seohyun, Yuri, Hyoyeon jjang! Don't forget the power of 9.

This really made me love the girls even more!
It's amazing how such mature and insightful comments can come out of these teenagers mouths. This just goes to show how mature our girls really are. Although these article reminded me of all the hardships that the girls have been through and are going through, I was happy to find that our girls are fighters and that they will weather out the storm together.

I read it yesterday on Soompi & was truly impressed by their answers, like the reporter said, it's a one-time opportunity for them to get an interview like that...
You can see how mature they're about their situation, how they fought back against the stereotypes people are used to have aginst them.. I'm glad this interview came out, really worth-reading.
Thanks a lot jstn for translating this!

That made me smile hahaha
â??We donâ??t try to bring down the competition but improve ourselves to be better than the competition. Only the ones with big dreams achieve their goals. I need to look forward and just think about myself.â?
â??I can do what I do because itâ??s me. You need to have a strong mind. You can endure it only if you have the strong will to succeed. But I wouldnâ??t recommend it to someone that I love.â?
(Their opinions were split 4:3. Their reasons were all different but even the ones that supported thought that itâ??s better to quit after experiencing it first hand. The ones that didnâ??t support said itâ??s a long and tough road. They kept mentioning that you need to have a strong mind/mentality.)
Inspiring for anyone who have a big dream ^^ I wonder who said that (first quote)
for the second, their opinions were different, it's interesting.. Soshi ftw <3

After such long training periods, I'm not surprised that they gave these type of answers. I think the questions were also good. Because by asking these questions, we could see this side of the girls. ^^
