While waiting for Girls’ Generation to make a comeback on April 27th with ‘MR. TAXI’, Japanese fans have found ways to get their Girls’ Generation fix. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the full Japanese version of ‘Gee’ has reached double-platinum status in the Chaku-Uta Full category, or downloads of full songs through mobile phones. The Japanese version of ‘Gee’ was released last year on October 20th, and since then over 500,000 copies of the ‘Gee’ ringtone have been sold to cell phone users all across Japan.
