SNSD rewrote gayo history.

On 13th, SNSD rewrote gayo history by attaining yet another #1 on KBS 2TV’s MusicBank.

SNSD’s Gee beat DaVichi’s 8282 on Musicbank today, bagging another #1 on the MusicBank K-Chart. They had won #1 on KBS2TV MusicBank on Jan 16th, 23rd, 30th, Feb 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, March 6th, and 13th. SNSD had took home the 8th #1 on MusicBank the week before, and had set the record for MusicBank with 8 consecutive #1s. This week, they set a new record for 9 consecutive weeks of #1 on that show. Experts had predicted that this would be a difficult record to beat as hit songs have shorter and shorter life span of popularity now.

SNSD said “Thank you to all the SNSD fans who had shown us love all these while”. Since comeback, SNSD had numerous #1 on different charts with their title song, Gee. Other than Musicbank, they had also won SBS Inkigayo’s Mutizen for a consecutive 3 weeks.
