Family Mart in Japan has announced that another version of Girls’ Generation’s “The Best” album will be available in Family Mart stores starting on August 6th. This version of “The Best” will include a song called “Chain Reaction”4, which is not included on the edition releasing on July 23rd. The entire tracklist for the Family Mart version can be seen below.

The album will come in three versions: a Complete Limited Edition, a First Press Limited Edition, and a Regular Edition. All three versions of the album will include a CD with two new songs, “Indestructible” and a Japanese version of “Mr.Mr.”. The full tracklist can be seen below.

Girls’ Generation’s Japanese fansite has informed fans through e-mail that Girls’ Generation will release a “The Best” album in Japan on July 23rd. The album will include the group’s hit tracks and new songs, as well as behind-the-scenes videos with footage starting from Girls’ Generation’s debut in Japan in 2010. More details on “The Best” will be announced at a later date.
Girls’ Generation is currently in the midst of the “LOVE&PEACE” Japan tour, which began on April 26th. The concert tour will continue through July of this year.

It looks like there is no way to order the Familly Mart Edition unless you understand Japaneses and perhaps live in Japan.
It would have been nice if the complete version had everything. Sigh…. Now my mind is saying go buy this new one….. But I must be strong for a while .

Aww :( I’m so jealous of you guys who pre-ordered the complete limited edition already. I planned to get it today but when I checked at CDJapan and YesAsia it’s already ‘out of print’. I’m sooo lucky lol. So instead of crying XD I decided to get the First Press instead even though the DVD is for region 2 only and I live in Canada.. It’s SOSHI so how can I say no hehehe
I made a mistake and I ordered the Complete Limited Edition and I wanted the First Press Edition. I wrote a message to CDJapan and they are going to give me my money back :’D
So everybody who was waiting for the Complete edition and coudn´t buy it, check CD Japan because they are going to put one Complete Limited Edition more ^^
The title shan’t be “The Best,” it should be “The Ultimate” because seriously, that Complete Limited Edition is the ultimate compilation of all their amazing MVs and vids! OMG I’m dying just looking at all that tracks, and salivating as well. I’d die to get that, seriously >.<

Wow, it really is a “Best of Girls’ Generation Album”. You can even get all of their Japanese MVs and a good amount of their Korean ones. But I really want to know if this is only a Region 2 DVD and if there will be any English Subtitles. From what I’ve seen, they usually sell DVDs saying that it’s Region 2 and then it works fine for me in the USA. That being said, I’m going to probably get the First Press Limited Edition.
if u download the VLC player, u are able to watch it. I rather get the Blu-ray since thats All Region and can be played any where i think
Just bought the complete limited and the first press edition. They burn my wallet but I LOVE them too much to not support. Very glad I didn’t buy the complete music video collection.
I love this even if alot of the material is repeating…the member’s recommendation disc and interviews are worth getting the (so-called) Complete Limited Edition. CD Japan lists this version as “No longer available” already.
I just wonder why they always call it “complete” when BABY BABY, HIMNAE and ECHO are always missing from the Korean side… Korea needs to do it right and in bluray…sheesh then I’m buying…again…=)
Does anyone know if the interviews will be translated into English???
All the previous Japanese releases haven’t had English subtitles, but you might be able find the them on YouTube with English subtitles.
Soshified doesn’t do subtitles for DVD/Blu-ray releases which is kind of annoying. I wish they would change there policy on that and make available SRT files available. I’m still looking for subtitles for the second Japan tour (and document) and it took me years to finally find subtitles for the first Japan tour (on YouTube). I also found a subtitled version of the interviews they did for the Complete Video Collection (also on YouTube).
