On March 13th, Girls’ Generation won first place on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” for the second week in a row. Once again, the group performed “Mr.Mr.” in black and white outfits for a loud and cheering audience before the week’s winner was announced. Matched up again CNBLUE, Girls’ Generation tallied 10,000 points for a perfect score. The last 10,000 point score on “M! Countdown” was also made by Girls’ Generation in 2013 with “I Got A Boy”.
Yuri and Seohyun gave the acceptance speech for tonight, thanking fans and the staff of SM Entertainment. Unfortunately, Sooyoung was feeling ill and was unable to join the rest of the group for the announcement of the winner and the encore.
Girls’ Generation will continue promotions tomorrow for “Mr.Mr.” tomorrow on KBS’s “Music Bank”. Check out Girls’ Generation’s performance of “Mr.Mr.”, the announcement of the winner, and the amazing encore performance below.

people who said that this song is boring maybe bcz they expct something BOOOMM from snsd like you know something shocking and new like IGAB. but when i first heard it actually I LOVE IT and i try to be neutral without bias feeling . and you know the review from simon-martina, anti kpop-fangirl, asian junkies, (that i know straight forward and harsh) wrote that this song is good. i also think it’s good from vocal and melody and even better than IGAB. it’s not bombastis song but i do enjoy it alot. snsd doesn’t have to change like GD, lady gaga or katy perry, just remind as snsd and that’s good.

May go with 2 reasons.. First, 2NE1 scores must not have been reached to compete for the trophy or it’s their comeback day..
Doesn’t matter if 2ne1 is ready or not, one more win means more fame and recognition for SNSD, which translates into more potential deals for them, which means their longevity in music is extended. Good for all SONEs and SOSHI supporters and I believe the girls loved the win too!
It was 2ne1’s comeback week. They were in the teaser (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppc21uU8AJY), along with Orange Caramel and others. Unlike the other shows, I think you can win on your comeback week for M! Countdown — the Girls did on March 6th, right? Anyway, I don’t want to encourage fan wars or gloat, but I think this is SNSD’s first head-to-head victory over 2ne1.

Mnet changed the rules last week so that groups can’t win on their comeback week. This was after snsd won. That’s why 2NE1 wasn’t in the running.

@westcrayon holy crap so our girls got lucky then. phew! lmao it seems that everytime Soshi make a comeback and wins, the music shows start to change their rules. i remember back in 2011 some SONE said that MuBank change it’s scores whenever SNSD makes a comeback. they make scores higher and difficult, but SONE always overcome those obstacles and still have SNSD win. SNSD and SONE are a dangerous bunch, BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. XD
