At this year’s “Mnet Asian Music Awards”, Girls’ Generation received the award for “Best Female Group”. Hyoyeon and Seohyun were in attendance at the awards ceremony, which was held at the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo. During their acceptance speech, Seohyun thanked her members, Lee Sooman, BeatBurger’s Shim Jaewon, and others for helping Girls’ Generation along the way. And of course, she thanked the SONEs from all over the world who have sent the girls love and support.
Later, Jaewon posted a photo on his Instagram account, posing with Hyoyeon and Seohyun after the awards ceremony.
Before taking off to Hong Kong, Seohyun tweeted a photo of Hyoyeon and herself. Visit Soshified’s Photos Sections to view photos of the girls’ departures and arrivals between Seoul and Hong Kong. Hyoyeon and Seohyun flew to Hong Kong the day of the awards ceremony and traveled back to Seoul following the event.

Although not all nine members were in attendance, some of the girls took to social media to express their appreciation for receiving the award. Taeyeon commented on her Instagram post, “Congratulations SONE ^^ Of all the people I know, you are the greatest and most loveable. I love you my things” (translator’s note: “My thing” is usually used as a cute possessive term for a significant other).
Jessica also commented on her latest Weibo update, saying, “Thankkks sone:))”.

Ha, it seems like i’m not the only one furious and frustrated over GG’s failure to win Best Performance Female Group Award!! I really really are not happy with mama! It certainly is true that: No come, no win: little come; little win! Come on! Sistar won it?!! What the hell were the judges thinking??? IGAB is certainly the best! 9 girls in the longer than usual song, and such perfect flawless dance moves!! How could they lose to SISTAR?!!
Urgh…. I’m so not happy!

Even if we lost the vote, which supposedly counts for only 30% of the final result anyway, we most likely would have won regardless, since two of the members were in attendance. MAMA’s motto: No one goes home without an award!

i still don’t see why they didn’t win best dance performance when they were over 1 million votes ahead of sistar anyone care to explain that to me
Winners were chosen based on online voting, surveys, judge and committee evaluation and sales.
What the actual percentages are for that particular award I’m not sure but online voting is usually worth 20% or less of the overall score.
Even without the votes that only counted 10~20%, SNSD deserved to win the Dance Performance award, since Sistar’s Give it to Me dance was nothing really special. I would have complained less if Crayon Pop won the award. From the looks of it, MAMA was trying to distribute the awards evenly to everybody a bit too much. Of course, that doesn’t apply to G-Dragon.

I was so mad last night that our girls didn’t win the BEST DANCE PERFORMANCE. our girls danced their asses off in I GOT A BOY.
Ah. I was expecting IGAB to win the best dance too.

the votes were not even close , they are up by 1800000 votes , and I Got A Boy’s dance is far more greater than sistar’s dance in give it to me , mama is really a joke , sm artist rarely win in mama
