On February 1st, Girls’ Generation appeared on SBS MTV’s “The Show” to perform “I Got A Boy”. As always, the members gave a fun and exciting performance of their latest title track, this time dressed in red and white outfits that showed off their slim physiques.
Promotions for “I Got A Boy” will soon conclude as Girls’ Generation begins its second arena tour in Japan on February 9th, and the “I Got A Boy” goodbye stage on MBC’s “Music Core” will be today, February 2nd.

Our girls always giving the audience a fantastic performance. They’re just too awesome like that. Sad that they’ll be giving a final performance of IGAB soon. Happy part though is that they’ll be heading to Japan to kick start their tour. Goodluck ladies. Love you. Kamsahamnida SSF for another awesome news update. Y’all are awesome too.

WOW….. Thanks for a GREAT month girls. Be safe & healthy in Japan. Hope to see you in America soon.
I’m excited to see them perform their seemingly forgotten new Japanese songs. That was a great album, and yet most songs received very little exposure. Can’t wait for Express and others performed or videos too.
I thought this was one of their best performances too. Surprised CN won.
I don’t think they officially competed on Music Bank, though. I presume SMENT pulled them out of contention after their triple crown wins on M Countdown and Music Bank.
I hope they are able to get some good rest before the Japan Comeback Tour 2013. This is kind of my first official observation of a Korean comeback event, so it has been really eye opening to see how hard the Girls are pushed. They have more energy and passion than I could ever have. I only wish wardrobe would stop putting those arm warmer things on Tiffany… O_o
SNSD FIGHTING!
Why the hate on the arm-warmers? They’re cute.
I think you have a point about SNSD not officially competing on Music Bank. I think SM did pull them out of contention after last week’s win, but SM decided to send the girls to Music Bank not just to further promote the 4th album, but also to promote something else, the SNSD Pop Cafe that is to open from February 7th to 17th.
For the peroformance, the girls were all wearing the SNSD caps and shirts and other clothings, which are included merchandises that are most likely to be sold in the Pop Cafe. They never wore those before for performances before.
Taeyeon had also said in an interview that they were planning end their promotion by end of January, but they still showed up on February 1st.
Plus, during today’s Music Bank interview, Tiffany said that the girls were gonna do pushups if the girls won. Even if they like being ridiculous, I don’t think the girls would really go that far for joking in such situation, unless they were expecting not to win. Sunny didn’t even bother dying her hair at all for the performance.
Finally, I think the girls didn’t mind not winning too much, since the competitors were CNBlue members, close friends (or in-laws, LOL). Maybe most fans weren’t expecting SNSD to make an appearance at all.
In other words, I think the girls were there to promote, rather than to win. Last week, after SNSD’s win, you could hear Yoona telling CNBLue guys something about next week, probably about the guys winning next week, because the girls weren’t originally planning to appear on Music Bank this week.
It’s a theory, that admittedly sounds very much like an excuse, but it’s a theory based on observations.
i will forever wonder how the girls
can be so sexy and cute at the same
time…this performance further proves
the dynamism with which they perform…
to appeal to so many different senses
at the same time…no wonder they have
so many fans…no wonder they never get
old!!! :-)
