Taeyeon’s song “Closer” for the “To The Beautiful You” OST is now officially released. It can be downloaded from various online music sites, including iTunes, MelOn (one-minute preview) and Bugs!.
SM Entertainment also released a music video for Taeyeon’s song that features moving scenes from the drama fitting for Taeyeon’s expressive and emotional track.

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and The Grace’s Dana will be the next artists from SM Entertainment to release songs for the OST of “To The Beautiful You”. Taeyeon’s track, “Closer”, which will be released on September 5th at 12 PM noon, is a beautifully written song with a lyrical melody about a person promising eternal love to their loved one. The Grace’s Dana will release a song called “Perhaps We”, which will be used as the theme song for Kim Jiwon’s character, Seol Hanna.
“To The Beautiful You” is a drama centering around a high school romance between a girl named Goo Jaehee, played by f(x)’s Sulli, who disguises as a man to meet high jump gold medalist Kang Taejoon, played by SHINee’s Minho, in a boys-only high school. Other SM Entertainment artists have already contributed to the OST, including Jessica and f(x)’s Krystal with “Butterfly”, Sunny and f(x)’s Luna with “나야 (It’s Me)”, and Tiffany and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun with “To The Beautiful You”.
“Closer” will be available from various online music sites, including MelOn, Bugs, and Genie.

With many snsd member to participate in ‘to the beautiful you’ ost, it’s getting more interesting to watch this drama. Can’t wait for the next ep and though taeyeon, tiffany, jessica, and sunny are often to release ost, I HOPE YOONA WILL FOLLOW the other member too (maybe for her first time?!) :( it’s not like her voice skill is bad because for me she’s PERFECT.

Wow, now Taeyeon. I’ve heard the in-drama version and it sounds really nice, as expected from Taeyeon. I really can’t wait now for the official studio version of the song. SNSD has been churning out a lot of these OST songs lately this year.

of my response. we all know taeyeon’s OST performances are
among the best singing performances we’ve ever heard…period.
