Welcome to the June edition of this column. I hope no one has hurt their fingers from playing too many guitar tabs of Girls’ Generation songs after finding out about them from last month’s column. Aside from that, I hope everyone is ready to celebrate another birthday. At the end of this month, it’s Seohyun’s birthday on the 28th, just a day after the release of their new Japanese single “PAPARAZZI”. Doesn’t Seohyun look so beautiful? But, before I go off on a tangent, time to get started with the column. In honor of Seohyun’s birthday month, we’ll be taking a look at her sub-forum.

No words to explain how beautiful this angel is.

What stands out to me about Seohyun is her airport fashion. It’s probably not what most people are expecting, but this is honestly what I think. In all seriousness, some days she looks like an angel, other days she looks like the cool kid on campus, and then there are days where you think, “What is she wearing?”, like those polka-dot pants with the tucked in shirt. That outfit was a bit strange. Thankfully those are usually few and far between. If you want to see pictures of Seohyun’s airport fashion then head to this thread here.

In my opinion, the shirt is fine but those pants are a bit weird.

Just out of curiosity, how many people used to confuse the “triplets” a lot when first learning about Girls’ Generation? Here’s a thread dedicated to pictures of how much Yuri, Yoona, and Seohyun can look alike at times. There was even a small segment from “Boom the K-Pop”, which can be downloaded here, where Japanese people had to distinguish between the three girls. Even during “PAPARAZZI” there was a point in time where I made a mistake between Yuri and Seohyun. Putting my “fail SONE” moment aside, let’s move on.

Yuri, Yoona, and Seohyun looking strangely similar to each other.

Instead of just pictures, it’s time to throw in a couple videos now. While browsing through Seohyun’s sub-forum, I happened to stumble upon a thread that had a video of her playing the piano, and I can’t help but share it because she looks absolutely beautiful. I’ll also share a couple other videos I found. I’m sure SONEs know the feeling of watching one video and then end up watching about a dozen more after that without realizing it.

If you’re looking for a bit of fun, head over to the “Acrostic Poem for Seohyun” and “You Know You’re a Seomate When…” threads. Each thread has its own little charm, so be sure to take a quick gander if you’re an artistic mood or if you’re looking for a quick joke. To me, all Seomates remember to buckle up their seat belt even if they’re in the backseat of the car, and they love sweet potatoes. Unfortunately, I lack any kind of artistic talent, so I won’t be able to make a poem on the spot for everyone, but check out the thread to find those that do have talent.

One of the videos I found while browsing the internet.

Last on the list is the “Seohyun Projects Thread”, a place where SONEs can leave their input to help celebrate her birthday through a variety of projects. So, be sure to check it out and spread the word. Projects like these are always fun, and you get to meet new SONEs, which is always worth it.

Seohyun playing “Adogio Cantabile”, and also playing a jazz version of “Gee”.

That’s it for this month. I hope everyone fell in love with Seohyun a little more, and I’ll see you all again next month.
