After a delay due to poor weather, Jessica finally took to the mound on May 11th to deliver the opening pitch for a baseball game between the LG Twins and the Samsung Lions. Wearing a hat and jersey in support of the LG Twins and sporting bright pink shoes, she delivered a unique pitch that failed to reach the catcher but still delighted the audience watching the game.

On April 10th, Jessica will throw the opening pitch at a baseball game between the LG Twins and Lotte Giants, making her the latest member of Girls’ Generation to participate in a game’s opening ceremony.
In 2007, after Girls’ Generation performed “Into The New World” at the start of a game between the Doosan Bears and Kia Tigers, Yuri threw the opening pitch to Sooyoung, and would later also throw an opening pitch to Seohyun at another Doosan Bears and Kia Tigers game in April of 2009. Sooyoung was the celebratory batter at a Doosan Bears vs. Samsung Lions game in May of 2009, while Yoona was the opening pitcher at another Doosan Bears game in September of the same year. Seohyun was also an opening pitcher in a game in 2010, with Yoona as the opening batter. In the same year, Girls’ Generation was also voted as the girl group that best suits pro-baseball pitching.
Fans are anticipating Jessica showcasing her skills in sports, especially after her appearance in the CF for the Freestyle Sports line of video games.
Girls’ Generation currently endorses both LG and Lotte, and has recently released CFs for both LG Cinema 3D TV and Lotte Department Store.

ROFL! This reminds me of Wild Romance and I was totally expecting her throw to be better after seeing that pro posture…hilariously, I was also half-wishing for her to fail since, you know… Jessica usually fails whenever she intends to do her best, while the otherwise happens if she just up and does it… just like in their Freestyle Sports CF… :3 Her amazing shot wasn’t intentional and she just up and threw the ball… kekeke.

That was an awesome throw Sica! I throw like her. Straight to the ground. But it doesn’t matter. I think that if she did that again, she would do better.

Guys, I figured it out…Sica’s lazy bum had to wait a month to throw the pitch, sooooo she probably got too busy sleeping and doing photo shoots to keep practicing, meaning she wasn’t able to show her amazing hidden skills, lol. : D
she is the only pitcher in the world wherein a failed throw is still cheered on by the fans.. keke
even the coach will be happy just seeing her do her stance and wind up..

Dear Jessica,
If you happen to be lurking, you opened up your front shoulder too early. However, the main reason you threw the ball like that is that it’s too far back in the palm of your hand. You grip a baseball with your fingertips. If you are ever back in Cali and want some pitching lessons please give me a call and I will fly down from Seattle.

I really am looking forward to this! I feel like it will be cute but a bit lazy since she is Sica. But lazy in a “i really am trying” kind of way
So after watching….it seemed I was a bit on the nail with this one! she was adorable and it really would have been great if she had just let go a few milliseconds earlier. Either way, I couldn’t help but smile as I watched. It’s also highly hilarious to see this while I am watching Wild Romance where her lover is a baseball Short Stop. Lmao
