Popular Korean drama “Athena” had a live event that took place on January 7th at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. Among those who attended the event include “Athena” cast members Cha Seungwon, Sooae, and Choi Siwon. K-pop artists with connections to the drama were also present, such as Super Junior, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, and SHINee (minus Onew who was absent due to a fever). 30,000 people came to this event, showing their support and enthusiasm for both performances, one occurring during the day and the other in the evening.
During the event’s press conference, Taeyeon shared her thoughts on being at the Saitama Super Arena for the first time without her fellow Girls’ Generation members. “Girls’ Generation has performed at Saitama Super Arena before, so it is a place that holds a lot memories for us,” said Taeyeon, who looked a little uneasy being alone on stage. “Being on such a spacious stage by myself feels a little bit lonely.”

omg Taetae I feel so sad about you being on that huge stage all by yourself and being in Japan all by yourself too. Be strong love and I know that the girls are with you in spirit all the way. You did wonderful by the live audio that was uploaded on youtube. I wish there was a live full fancam or stream for us to watch you perform this live and see all the emotions you put into the performance. I only saw like 30 secs of fancam and truly that’s not enough for me, I want the whole dog gone thing lol. While watching her perform in that 30 seconds -clip made me feel goosebumps. It was so awesome.

I guess that loneliness was part of that also. But I think she was able to make that her advance. She was able to relate to those feelings the song has, because she felt lonely.
Their bond is really valuable and rich. No-one could change that or take that away from them.

ya she also mentioned before that she will not go solo (even if she has the capability to do so) because she also has her shortcomings that other 8 angels are able to fill it in with… and with the Soshi bond that they have right now, it’s impossible for them to go alone. they have come a long way together and it’s hard for them to be separated. none of the 9 girls will be complete without all 9 of them (and of course SONEs) together.

aww.. it’s no surprise she felt lonely. They been through so much together from trainee days to present. And always together. Even if one of them is onstage alone the others are usually nearby backstage or in audience. But taeyeon is so talented and her voice is so beautiful. I’m happy she has this time to shine. At least other smtown family members were there for her.
