Girls’ Generation’s English version of “The Boys” was originally released on October 19th, 2011 on SMTOWN’s YouTube channel. Soon after the release, the video was blocked due to the girls getting their own official VEVO channel on YouTube. On November 22nd, 2011, the video was unblocked for public view.
Due to the different languages, the angle shots in the English version differed slightly in comparison to the Korean version. The solo shots were adjusted accordingly to the language. The main chorus was, for the most part, unchanged.
The Korean version of “The Boys” has been a huge success, with close to twenty million views since its release one month ago. The Japanese versions of “Gee”, “Genie”, “MR. TAXI”, and “Run Devil Run” are also uploaded onto their VEVO channel.
Meanwhile, the maxi single that was planned to be released on November 19th has been delayed. However, there has been no official announcement from SM Entertainment. Stay tuned to Soshified for the latest information.

Huh? I don’t get it, wasn’t this done ages ago? I saw the english version on their Vevo channel at 24th of october, a month ago. Did they block it after that or something?
Such a shame, so many views on the first day the vid was released, then they deleted it, took almost a week till it was finally on Vevo. And you’re saying they blocked it afterwards again? *shakes head* what are they doing?

AFAIR, the music video’s release on VEVO was one week after the Korean version. And the reason why the Soshi’s VEVO channel is kinda outdated is because 1.) SM don’t really promote the VEVO channel. 2) Majority of the videos isn’t available to many countries; specifically in Asia. 3.) They’re not really targeting the world market until “The Boys”.

Yah, the first thing I did for their VEVO channel was I “liked”, give a “incredible” reaction, “favorite” and “subscribe” the video. I’ve been waiting like forever for Interscope to unblocked it so we can get the views going. Now I’m going back and forth with English and Korean versions. I see some peeps talking about erasing video and reupload and see how many views it can get and also to get it on youtube main page. No darn it, do not do that because it’s already up at 700k+ from other countries that was able to view it. It’s going slow in views because a lot of peeps may not know it’s unblocked or they rather the Korean and not the English so they won’t be watching it. Anyway I’m so happy for Soshi getting VEVO and being in the list of artists with a VEVO channel. I’ll be waiting for that maxi single and as soon as the date reveal I’ll be ready alright. ATTENTION..r u sure thats the real one???…if its real why no news come from smtown official..if u see the user page its pretty much empty..ive seen those months ago and the promote page still lady gaga judas while its a pretty old mv…please check the authenticity of that page…

mind. and it seems interscope was a little
delayed in their release of the girls’ vevo
page. i know the single comes out about
now in physical form, but has been digital
forever. why keep us waiting until now? :-)
