Wow talk about bringing back old gifts! This is from our first anniversary set of gifts. I guess Yuri was feeling nostalgic (or maybe bad that the eemo threw away the 'growing boyfriend' toy we got them) but she wore it for today's event!

PS. She's had this since 2008. So it's been 3 years since she's kept our gift <3

I've had this UFO account since around Soshified was started thanks to eemo (yes you need a Korean ID & mobile phoneO, but it wasn't until yesterday that I decided to send a UFO on my own. I wasn't expecting a reply from Yuri because the UFO was like all in English and I sent it around 2AM KST (far past her bedtime). But to my surprise, I opened up the UFO account today and found a reply from her! She is so nice to reply about the gifts we got her! Beginners Luck! I'm very happy right now!!

The reason why someone asked me to post this is because it's really rare (and really impressive) to see idols going to such an event. I don't think it's quite common at all and kind of shows that Taeyeon & Seohyun both have a strong love for acoustic music. I hope they're still working on their guitar skills and improving (haha where are you Yuri? I thought you were learning too....)

Gah I don't know when I will ever stop loving this girl. Does everyone remember when YAMD ended and she wrote personal notes/letters to each staff member? Seriously I'm so glad things like this hasn't changed over the years for her. This is truly precious and what she wrote is really touching and something everyone can relate with. She's so kind, I don't even know how to contain my love for this girl honestly! I can't believe she wrote 100 letters to her friend, that shows her loyalty and nice nature! Actually I was told at a younger age to always leave thank you letters/cards for people because it shows that you care and it doesn't take that much time. I'm glad Yoona feels the same way! I will continue to write you letters in the future Yoona and hopefully you shall cherish them Thank you for translating, Will! I love little things like this haha it makes me love the girls more because haha what they do is so sincere and just a part of their life

While Soshified's 3rd Birthday is a time of great achievement and celebration, it is also a time to remember how blessed we are in having 9 angels in our lives. Our birthday wish is to spread the girls' love to those who are not as fortunate, to those in need and to those...who have simply not yet been touched by an angel. In light of that, we are asking members to donate towards helping Brazil's flood relief. In the last month, Brazil suffered a devastating flood when torrential rains flooded heavily populated areas causing flash floods and mudslides. Claiming over 800 lives and counting, this catastrophe is being hailed as the "worst single-day natural disaster" in Brazil's history. Together, we can show that as a global community we are able to make a difference.

A big thank you to the list of donors that made this project successful! We were able to give the Adventist Development and Relief Agency a total of $2000USD in the name of Girls' Generation for Soshified's 3rd Birthday. We hope that the funds that we raise will be put to great use and that the situation over in Brazil continues to improve!

Hi members..I'm always very thankful, but I feel like there are few chances to express the gratitude. We always just play and laugh, but I want to take this time to say this.

We spend the most time together as roommates, even more than our families, and I'm sorry because I feel like I'm not so considerate to you. Dear Girls' Generation

Mmm.. First, I'm happy to be able to come to such a wonderful place with the members, and this will be unforgettable.. um... should I be talking formal or informal? Well, since I'm being taped by myself, I'll do a shout out to each member!

Foremost, my rommate Sunny... hi.[haha] Mmm.. You seem to really like tropical fruit, right? papaya, mango, mangosteen... Seeing you enjoying Phucket and the fruits makes me feel good. All the members are bright and positive, but U'm really glad to be roommates with the energizer of Girls' Generation, and hey, we're roommates again in Phucket.. Ah... this is so awkward, what do I say? Ah.. I prepared for this, ordinary interviews are easier, I can't go on blabbering myself... what do I do?

Tiffany... Youwere quite excited before coming to Phucket... We've been rommates for a long time since training days~ It may be because we've known each other for so long, you know how family members usually don't say things like this, like, I like you... or can't really express gratitude, and I feel like I'm like that especially with you. I grew up in Korea, you in the US, and the differences in opinions due to cultural differences came as hard at first but now, after trying to match up to each other, we really have no questions about each other. That's how close we've gotten and I like how we are right now. I like you before when we were trainees, but I like you better now. Thanks for presenting me, and the all of us, with so much memories, and we have a long way to go together, so I'll stop here...

Hyo Yeon~ My little elementary-schooler Hyo Yeon... I said this on TV many times, but when someone asks me "Which member are you the most awkward with?" I answered, "Hyo Yeon." I wonder why? Something happened between us and that awkwardness vanished and I can't remember what was awkward about us. Now... I think the most changed member? Mmm..changed in a positive way, would be you. So I wanted to learn from you and be like you, there's a quality about you. Not that you were negative back in the days...[haha] Thanks for always being the clown for the members. It amazes me how positive you have gotten, and I'm proud of you. The only thing I hope from you is to go slow, slow...

Yoon A! I say this all the time but you have a hard time. Being the one in the middle, the role, and how you might feel as that person must be hard, and I understand because I'm the second child. But you take on that role so well and it's hard to tell if you're my friend or younger because you're so absorbed in us and mingle so well, so thank you. I hope you melt into the team as you do now. Mmm... except those times when you act like a boy, you're perfect. You are born with so much, and whatever you do, you're OK and you're pretty and likeable. Although sometimes you have a timid side, so think broad, broad, and take care of your health. I know you take care of your food, but I feel sympathetic, so take good care of your health, and play that gem role in and outside of Girls' Generation.

Yu Ri~ Hi Yu Ri! I can't forget the first time I saw you. Your first impression... does that make you nervous? To me, the kind smile you gave me felt very glamorous, and I wondered if you were one of us, trainees, and it made such a good and strong impression on me, you seemed so nice, and gentle...I wish I had an impression liek yours, and I love that Yu Ri in my memory. How you always boost yourself up for energy, I'm envious of your self-elevating skills like "Yeah! I can do it! Hooray!" So go on and continue to give strength to the group. You're the best, really~

Soo Young~ Yes, Soo Young... If someone asks me to "say a word to Soo young," I could only think of those days when we went to school together. I worried a lot about who I would be able to talk to and be friends with at this foreign city, and you gradually became that someone I could practice with, learn with, inside and outside of school, with the same uniforms, someone I could really talk to, and that meant a lot to me. I was really grateful for you being there, and it cheered me up. And then we came to be in the same group, Girls' Generation, and I think of you as the second me. Even when we are in a sulk, the next day we forget about it as if nothing happened, which makes me think you're the one with the personality that works with me, but then other times, you're the one with the opposite idea, so when we're in harmony we totally click, and other times we can teach each other different perspectives... and you're a member just like family.

And there's our baby Seo Hyun. Our youngest...
Uh...when I think about you, I feel bad...just by myself...When I think of you, I become sorry because you always say that you're thankful for the eight older sisters you have. I'm very thankful that I'm your older sister as well. Don't be so timid because you're the youngest, and just the way you are now, please do what you want in comfort. If you want to say something to the older sisters, just come and say it. Sometimes I look at you and I feel there is lot to learn from you. Thanks for being that younger sister within the group, you are very much needed~

Jessica, I've felt the same kind of unfamiliarity with you as I did with Tiffany, something to do with cultural differences, and I tried to understand you more, and you're such a character. I'm not the approaching type, so I regret we haven't been too close so far, but like in the movies, there could be an unexpected turn-out, right? I find some unexpected qualities about you-you seem chic on the outside, but you have a softer side. I know I'm lousy at expressing, but you're quick-witted, so I trust you catch my point.

Dear my roommate Sunny... We share the most time together since we're roomies. Before I go to sleep, after all the schedule, when I rest, you're always the one in the same space with me, so I'm really comfortable with you. And comfort means that I need to be aware more because sometimes just because there's the two of us in the room, we talk about so much stuff. I'm thankful that I can let my inner feelings out to someone, even the things I couldn't tell my parents and the fact that I can talk to you means a lot. And you're so mature...more than I had thought. Every day, I think I'm the one with too much thoughts, but you seem to have more thoughts...you cheer me up when I'm down and laugh with me when in joy, so thank you so much...

Uh.. so you eight girls plus me makes nine. You're my precious companions. From the beginning we worked hard together, and felt the same joy, and thanks for keeping the spirit up. On one side, I think it's better you're that way because us others are always such a mess, fooling around, and I worry you might learn that from us. Remember these are the official translations printed in the book. We didn't translate from Korean to English but posted them as they appear in the book itself. To be honest there's a few things missing I guess when SM did the Korean to English translations. The Korean versions are much more intimate because the girls wrote them, themselves. I think as SM got someone to translate it to English, some things were lost but the general gist of the message is there.

We got the opportunity to the pass the girls a gift at the Intel event in Korea last week. So with some last minute donations from GPTX, Andrew Chi, bbzidane, and Jerzideva we were able to get the girls cute Tiffany & Co Necklaces.

The reason why we picked this design because it's known that horseshoes bring good luck it to those that bear it so we wanted the girls to have good fortune (as well as health) in 2011! We included a little thank you card for them as well as login information once again and reminded them about Soshified's 3rd Birthday on Feb 1! We are rarely doing gift projects nowadays but this was just to give the girls a nice "hwaiting" for the beginning of the year! Hope you guys can look out for the girls wearing the necklaces (and maybe possibly logging in soon?)!

Ah the finished product! So since it is a tradition. I'm going to start this thread once more. I can't help but make these threads more and more simple as each year passes on, it's not that I've lost love for the girls, but because no matter what I say or wish to see of them each year, they always end up surpassing mine and probably everyone else's expectations as well. So I'll keep it simple. Thank you for being Girls' Generation, now, forever, always.

The love they have for each other and us (SONEs) is just something that really can't be expressed with just words. Even international fans always feel like they are always on the mind/thoughts/prayers of our 9 girls. I can't be any more proud of them or this fandom, honestly. We've been through a lot, and probably have a tougher path down the road, but hey let's continue to push forward together. Everyday I am thankful that there is a Kim Taeyeon, Jung Sooyeon (Jessica), Lee Sunkyu (Sunny), Hwang Miyoung (Tiffany), Kim Hyoyeon, Kwon Yuri, Choi Sooyoung, Im Yoona, and a Seo Juhyun (Seohyun) because even if one member is missing, there wouldn't be 9 amazing women standing on a stage proudly as one together. I can definitely tell that their bond has only grown stronger in the past 3 years and am excited to see how it will continue to grow. They really do bring out the best in each other. With that being said, I could fill this thread full of beautiful images or meaningful quotes, but sometimes, it's the things we don't say that end up being the most meaningful because we can just feel it. Once again Happy 3rd Anniversary.

So this year's theme/concept was pretty simple. It was obviously FOREVER9. The thing about this particular project is that we didn't necessarily get 9 of every single gift, but instead got gifts that the girls could share and use together, representing their true state of unity as one. So we hope we were able to pull that theme off. We included their account information with EVERY SINGLE gift and also handwritten notes on what the purposes of some of the gifts are and their significance.

Charity Water Well!

Starting last year we've been trying to do more charities (using our fandom in a positive way!) Lee found this amazing charity that we had to donate to! It's called Charity Water and we were able to raise enough money (over $5000) to create a wall and give 282 fresh water! Some people take fresh water for granted at times but a lot of people on this Earth don't have access to something that is a necessity! The best part about this charity is that 100% of what we donated will be used for building the well and giving all those people fresh water. Like water is a necessity for the world, SNSD is a necessity for SONEs!



Tiffany & Co Interlocking Necklaces

The reason why we got this is because the two rings together are interlocking/eternal like the relationship SNSD has with SONEs and of course each other. Also for SONE, it's supposed to be SO-ONE, one with Soshi, but because the two Os lock together, they form a heart to create SONE.




Marc Jacob Latin Leather Bracelets

These are limited edition leather bracelets from Marc Jacobs. Leather is a modern gift choice for third anniversaries. Also on the band of the bracelet it reads 'Tibi. In Omne Tempus' which is 'For You, Forever' in Latin.

The whole purpose of this kit was basically a way for the girls to kind of document their time in Japan and capture all the wonderful memories.

We did a few things to make this laptop extra awesome for the girls, the most apparent one was that we included bootcamp and installed Windows 7 to their laptop so that they can use the sites in Korea that seem to be only IE friendly. We even customized the beautiful wallpaper to one that has the Forever9 logo.



Also with regards to that we also got a Laptop Chill Matt so they can comfortably use the laptop!

After Myungdong we decided to try the bulgogi burgers at Lotteria in Daedongmun and lol departed home.

While on the subway back home lol Lynn and I talked about how fail of a day it was, especially since it was my 2nd year as a SONE. So this crazy idea came up that we were just going to sit outside of SM for a bit and then leave. It's not something we usually do or normally do but I guess we figured we had nothing to lose and I just had a really good feeling about today.

We basically got back to our hotel lol packed my laptop and a blanket and water and our lotteria burgers and then tried our best to get a taxi to the SM building but unfortunately lol it was impossible to get a taxi this late at night. SO out of nowhere lol this rather drunk gentleman spoke to us in English "where are you going?" and we we responded back with the area/location and had this conversation to him and he showed us how to use the bus system. LOL he was pretty harmless and that was our first time using the bus system so you could say it was almost like fate.

We arrived there and basically sat behind the SM building lol and spoke in English making a lot of random fans go lol. We ended up sitting and watching Invincible Youth (soshi subbed of course!) on my laptop in the freezing cold. It was like -1 C when we checked the weather. We barely waited there and lol we heard the car door open to one of the vans and rushed over there to see no other than Sunny almost going into the van. We shouted out "Sunny, we're from Soshified". And she was like "Oh Soshified! Hi". Her English was really good. We asked her where Tiffany was cause Lynn and I got them these 9 shirts and wanted to give it to them but we had to explain it to Tiffany first. Then lol she cutely pointed to the building and said Tiffany was in there. So we complimented her on how cute she is in person and how amazing the concert was. She looked even more gorgeous than last time and we told her she looked so pretty without makeup and she blushingly said "thank you!".

Then out of nowhere shortly Tiffany appeared. Tiffany looked really tired but wow her eye-smile (this was my first time seeing it in person and so up close) was memorizing. You can tell she was really tired. She was surprised to see us ... haha so we were like "Hey Tiffany, we're Soshified!" And her face lit up. Then she noticed how cold we were and hugged us. Then Sunny hugged us as well. We were like "Tiffany do you remember us from Hollywood Bowl" and she looked at us for a bit and was like "Oh yeah of course! I remember you guys.." (to be honest that made my night). Lynn was telling her how she looks a lot skinnier and I told her lol she needs to stop doing those weird diets and she was like they've been really busy lately and apparently their hell is over the 31st. So we talked about how American fans usually don't do this, lol we usually don't do this, and she was like "Yeah I understand haha". I couldn't help but focus on Sunny's face the whole time because it looked like she understood everything. Then we mentioned that we got Tiffany a bag of Cheetos from America lol but left them at Ida's place and out of nowhere to the right of us we heard this huge "CHEETOOOOS?" with a cute voice haha and it was Sunny. Her face like lit up like crazy when we mentioned Cheetos and it was the cutest thing ever. Then we talked about the gifts and how she just got them and she's been too busy lately to to logon and do much of anything. Haha she said the girls loved the pink christmas tree and it was a very Soshified thing to send them. And she was very thankful for everything. We then talked about how amazing their concert was haha and I told Sunny I realllllly enjoyed her "Sunny" performance and she was like "aww thank you!" Tiffany said thanks to us for coming all the way there to see them perform. We talked a bit about how we both came from like Southern states and haven't seen snow in ages lol and we waited for them and even about how the drunk guy showed us the bus system haha and Tiffany was like "aww I'm praying for you guys!" It was a very Tiffany thing to say at the moment and just the way she said it was in itself a blessing! Haha and she hugged again for like the nth time haha because she understood how difficult this was. And then we brought over the shirts we ended up getting the girls. They have a huge 9 on them and on the back they say "a family that prays together, stays together" and Tiffany seemed to have really liked them. We talked a bit about colleges in America and random things and she said random stuff like "Oh it's an American thing".

Then Sooyoung and Hyoyeon came out. And Tiffany was like "oh there's the rest of the girls" and said something in Korean like "oh they're from Soshified" and Sooyoung and Hyoyeon both went "oh Soshified?". Lol and Sooyoung like walked over to us lol tried to give us a handshake but we just went up to hug her haha. And started saying "Thank you ... for all the support .... and gifts ..." in like impressively good English. We were like "woah your English is really good" haha and Lynn was like "you did a good job teaching them Tiffany" and Tiffany was like "haha I know" and said that actually all the girls are pretty good at speaking English they just don't show it often. And then we saw Hyo climb into the car sitting in the passenger seat. But then we heard a huge "woah woah" and saw Hyo at the driver's seat and was like Uhhhhh. Tiffany was like "oh it's ok she has her driver's license". And we were like ohhhhh ok. Haha and I went where is yours, Tiffany? And she said it was in the process lol. And then haha some other things were mentioned blah blah ... then haha we said bye and Hugged them all again and then saw Hyoyeon backing up the car and driving them back home with no manager.

We talked a bit with Tiffany about other things. We told her our gift packages have been decreasing because this year we've been focusing more on charity donations and she appreciated that. She said that she, herself, donated to a charity in Shanghai Children's fund but didn't want to make it public because it usually got too out of hand and became too big of a thing over in Korea.


Haha we talked about some things at the end lol and she promised us something haha and I was like "don't lie ..." haha and Tiffany held my hand and said she never lies. Her hands were extremely warm lol and I forgot to wear gloves so I was freezing.

LOL so during this whole conversation the Manager was just standing there, I guess he was overwhelmed by all of the English.

Some things were omitted from the conversation we had with the girls haha because they were pretty private so I hope everyone understands and just enjoys what I can give from this fan account.

I just want to say how amazing it is that now when we say Soshified, haha the girls know what it is exactly, that's shows that we've gotten somewhere in my eyes when our girls know and follow our site as much as they do.

What an epic night! I might have forgotten certain things but forgive me haha I was too happy/cold to really remember everything. We asked for a picture again this time but haha we got something better that can't be posted but lol cause we were like right infront of the SM building haha we said it was ok cause we knew it would be difficult for her to let us take a picture like that.
