I found this translation worth sharing in Translated Goodies. A wonderful read from a great fan's perspective.
Credit to Jewel-8291 for translating and previously sharing in Fany's Spazz thread.

Hmmmmm, I'm gonna share an article written by a China SONE I guess.
I have translated them from Chinese into English already.
I myself was crying after reading the article,
I don't know how about you-all,
but I guess it's worthy to be shared.

To those who can read Chinese,
just read the original article then. LOL.

Sorry if there is any grammar mistake.
cr: 人人网, SNSDChina

Translated by me.
Please put credits for my translations if you're gonna share it. ^^

So Nyuh Shi Dae.

When they first debuted, nine of them were always holding hands, and wanted to finish up the extremely long slogan every time: 'Right now it's Girls' Generation! From now on it's Girls' Generation! Forever Girls' Generation!'

See, it's "Forever".

When they first debuted, they had a special dream, more enthusiastic than anyone, more innocent than anyone.

Maybe it is because when you are still a trainee, all you can hope for is to debut. Once you have debuted, it is like half of your dream has been fulfilled. For them, when they were only eighteen or nineteen, 'DEBUT' is everything for them. They did not actually think of 'forever', did they?

Therefore, in 2007, the slogan was so fluently spoken by them. Right now, from now on, forever.

Did you notice? For now, SNSD of 2010, they did not speak the last 2 sentences of the slogan anymore.

"Right now it's Girls' Generation!"
Merely with this slogan, it made SNSD and SONEs nearly in tears. What they can guarantee for us, is only "right now".

Of course, you can say they are just debuted for too long, they will not chant the long slogan every time. But who can guarantee a 'forever' in entertainment industry? Especially for groups/bands, especially for girl groups. You know, I know, they know. It is just we are closing our mouth, we dare not to reveal the truth.

And hence, they have changed from 'We will still be singing together even if we grew up to ahjummas', to 'We will still be SNSD even if we get married, we will still be SNSD even if we are not living together', slowly.

The girls in 2007 had grown up, and became adults, became matured and realistic/knowing* women.

*The word '世故' in Chinese has the meaning of 'knowing', literally means 'experienced or shrewd prematurely (chiefly derogatory)', but I think the author is trying to say our girls have learned through many difficulties and therefore become more careful and prudent before taking any actions.

Their dreams were not merely 'debuting' anymore,
they want their ordinary dreams to be fulfilled too.
They want to be in a relationship,
they want to get married,
they want to give birth to child,
they want to build their own families.

Someone wants to be an actress,
someone wants to do variety shows.

The road in future, actually we know, we understand, we can even see the so-called future.

every SONE wishes to reverse the time,
to accompany our girls more, and more.

I always listen from SONEs that they regret for knowing SNSD too late, they hope they could know SNSD in 2007, and accompany SNSD to pull through the difficulties in 2008......

"Let the time to be reversed."
Or even there are people saying "Let the time stops at year 2007, the year when our girls still having no worries and annoyance."

Yes, I did think of it too.

I have been seeing others said that us, SONEs got scared by antis, until we are so cautious and careful in doing anything else.....

Yes, we are doing things as if we are skating on thin ice, but it does not mean we are cowards. We endure, just because our SNSD is enduring too.

Oh, this world, the world which cannot tolerates honesty, such a small circle, with various types of people.
Kim Tae Yeon, who was getting disturbed by her sunbae on phone at nights, can you imagine how she endures it?

Here saying "no manners", there saying "they are just depending on their popular sunbaes*", it is so difficult for our girls to behave, and thus SONEs can sense, our girls are more careful than before when they are talking, and they are so careful until we feel it is so cruel for them.

*In the original article, it's '抱大腿', literally means 'hugging someone's thigh', in Chinese it brings the meaning 'depending on interpersonal networks or relations'.

There are many words that did not get spilt out, we can see through it from their eyes, a lot of disputes, a lot of afflicts, they wanted to say, but because of fears, they just endured it like there is nothing happening.

And because of that, we wish to get them back to the space time even more.

The time that there are only members.
The time that there is only 'debuting'.
The time that there is only 'Into The New World'.
The time that there is only laughter of SoShi, when they first moved into their dorms and making noises for having a party.

Just that you know, I know.
It cannot be. It cannot be.

If SoShi stops at 'Into The New World' era, we would not get a chance to know about them;

If SoShi always laughs like there is nothing for them to worry about, they would not be like how they did on "Deep Talk with Park Junghoon", when they are facing those difficult questions, giving neat answers, with easy smiles.

If SoShi did not move on, SoShi and us would have to be separated, they would be still living in the past, while we are being in future. We cannot have interactions with each other, forever.

Don't be infatuated with the past.

LOLI* needs to grow up, certainly our SNSD needs to grow up too. SONEs, too.

*In Japan, the term 'LOLI' describes an attraction to underage/childlike girls, or an individual with such an attraction.

You have the rights to love Taeyeon with black hair in 2007,
or to love such a real TaeYul in 2007,
or to love Sooyoung in 2007 with darker skin as if they are totally different persons compared to today.

But, please,
do not tell them "You-all were better before.*"

*Author's meaning should be 'I love SNSD in the past more'.

So Nyuh Shi Dae has already debuted for 1000 days,
and these thousand days,
they used up their tears, they worked up a sweat, and got through it step by step.
If you say, they are 'better' in 2007, it is seriously a heartless remark, and denied all efforts they've been paid so far.

So Nyuh Shi Dae, always has nothing 'the best' currently, because they want to show their best in the coming-soon-future.

They did not back off.

In 2008, they did not stop when they were anti-ed, and now they still did not stop when they are receiving loves from many people, they are still moving on.

They are going to Japan, do not ask them "Stay back here!", you should know or improve or retard.
When they are still finding a point that they can break through from a girl to a woman, do not stop them.

The youth they have spent, we did receive it, didn't we?

If we are contented with 'Into The New World', 'Gee' would not exist.

If we are contented with the 9 consecutive crowns achieved by 'Gee', do we still have future?

We love SoShi in 2007, because they are innocent and pure,
We love SoShi in 2008, because they are endurable and strong,
We love SoShi in 2009, because they are humble and mature,
We love SoShi in 2010, because they are moving on.

If I have been said, oh my time, please stop,
right now I wish to tell you, oh my time, please move on.
The things in the past will be dust and sand*.
The things happening now will be my memories forever.
The things happen in future, I am anticipating you(time) to make it true.

*It means that the past will always be the past, we cannot help but just to move on because the past cannot be changed, just let it be.

When we say we will be with SNSD forever,
how can we be contented with what we are having now?
SONEs with SoShi forever.
Where SoShi is, where SONEs will be.

I Hope SNSD will be making progress in debuting successfully in Japan.
I pray for you.

Wow. Deep article. I'm one of the late fans. I only got to know them this year and I sometimes do wish that I'd known them when they debuted. But then, I probably wouldn't have loved them as much since there were no shows like Hello Baby.

Well, the girls have grown up, matured. They're realistic now. They know that SNSD won't be together forever. We fans know that too, but we choose to just ignore it or just live in the now.

That's what SNSD and SONEs are doing. Living in the now. The past is the past. The future will be the future. We can't do anything except anticipate it and support our girls through whatever. We gotta love and live it while SNSD is still here.

i think this article is really true. it's in a way a very touching article written by the Chinese SONE...very deep..its true..just a month ago i always thot to myself, oh how i wish time wuld have gone back a bit and allow me to know of the girls earlier when they first debuted and i wouldve had more years to be with the girls! but it's true, time moves on, and this whole time period allowed our girls to strive for their goals and plan for other futures that they want to achieve. And no matter which direction our girls wants to head to in the future, they will always be Forever 9, and they will always be our most beloved SOSHI no matter what. the love will always exist no matter when and where. I love you SNSD forever and ever! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 (9 hearts for all 9 of our favourite girls)

thanks for the translation of the article!!!<3

I love the girls and all I can do is keep on supporting the girls in their endeavors =3

so SONEs... hwaitaeng! <3 we are the invisible (ironically... we're pretty visible lol... but it's just a figure of speech ^^; ) force behind Soshi =)

This is my 2nd time reading this and yet its tearing me up =)
But yeah I admit, I wish I could go back to the year 2007.
But of course I love what they are today. We should move on, that's given.

It's just so sad I didn't have the chance to support them from the very start, to cry with them during their first win on Music Bank with Kissing You, and to watch them become more mature.
I'm sure all Sones right now wants these 9 girls to be together forever. So I guess we should be ready when "that" time comes. But one thing is for sure: becoming a fan of these 9 amazing girls is one of the best happenings in our life. I'm sure every Sone thinks the same.

I am so thankful I got curious to click that Gee MV on youtube. Life would suck if I didn't do it.

Thanks for the translations and to whoever that great chinese SONE is!
A very beautiful piece of writing that makes me think... I believe that SNSD are always improving and I wish them the best future whatever that will be as a SONE. SNSD will always be a beautiful picture and memory I can look back on even in the future. For now and on I just wish them luck and support whatever decisions or choices they go with. I am proud of SNSD then, now, and will always be as their fan. :]
SNSD goodluck and take care!!!

To me even when that time comes... I know they will be FOREVER9 sisters even in their normal lives.
To all SONES, lets keep supporting them now and live for today as the past is the past and the future is still the future.
SNSD <3 (If only great things can never end...)

That was one of the most touching things I've read. The worst part is that it is all so true and it hits us as people. We do want them to stop but then they wouldn't grow. I'm glad that they are expanding their horizons and bringing a bit of happiness to people all over the world. The only regret I have as a SONE is that I cam in so late. I wasn't their when all the troubles were at their peak, but I'm happy to see they stuck through with constant support of fans with undying love.

Hey, thanks so much for taking time to translate that whole long chinese article. It was really a great, touching, heart-felt article that this china SONE wrote up, and I'm really thankful and glad that you shared it with all the other SONES here :)

I started following and listening to SNSD ever since the Into the New World days. They have really been through alot alot and I see these girls grow up, even as I'm growing up. I'm 19 this year, so I pretty understand some of the issues they have to deal with, transiting from a teenager to an adult, from a girl to a woman. I connect myself to SNSD almost instantly back in 2007 cos I too, loved singing and dancing, and just gathering with my girlfriends. I can say, they fulfill this dream that I can never fulfill and I'm glad for them. Every single one of the girls make SNSD so beautiful, fun, lovely. Each one of the girls touch our hearts in different ways.

& I'm sure many of us are more than happy to follow them walk this till the very end no matter what happens, what storm might come their way and our way next. We'll be rooting for them at any part of the world we might be right now, and I'm thankful for all your SONEs out there who have been guarding SNSD with your heart (and even life).

RIght now, It's Girls' Generation.

A very insightful piece from a fan, but there is only one thing I disagree with. I know for myself, it will forever be SNSD, because true SONEs know that SoShi bond is eternal and it cannot be broken. Living in the present is most important for SONEs because we know they won't be around as a group forever, but the idea and emotions connected to the entire concept of SNSD will be there always. I have and will continue to cherish every moment of SNSD as they continue to move forward in their careers. Right now it is SNSD, and so it will be forever. They're one of the only groups out there that haven't changed members since debut, right?

Yeah, that's forever SNSD for you.

Well... nothing lasts forever... even love can't stand against the fate or time. But isn't that fact something good? Things change, life is about changes and maybe we should let those changes happen, 'cause we all need them to grow up as people and to live our lifes well and freely. I'll love all the 9ine until the very end and i think it's that what a fan should be doing proudly. That's it.

Sorry if i wrote some gramatical errors, i'm not a pro, maybe never will be :(

It's always good to hear the thoughts of wise fans, and how they're able to sum up all that I've been meaning to say. The girls have come so far and they are at the top of their game right now, so it's easy to overlook or at times forget how much they've gone through to get to where they are now. Misunderstandings, unfounded judgments, criticisms, and while all those have still not gone away now, I'd say it was way much worse back then. I'm proud of them, and I'm proud of being a fan when no one else was willing to accept them two years ago and watching them grow to their fullest potential and showing the world what they're made of. These 9 talented girls are walking inspirations and I hope more people get to see that. There is so much more than their appearances alone, and the memories they have given me stretch beyond the surface, giving me probably one of the best, if not the best, moments of this period in my life. And I can't wait for more ^^

This article is so heartfelt. SNSD has made such an impact in so many lives through their music, their beauty and their souls. As hard as it is to face the facts that they won't be with us forever, they are here now. RIGHT NOW IT'S GIRLS' GENERTATION! So let's cherish the moments we share with them. Let's continue to support and show them the utmost respect. Let's show them that they will always be our number 1 and nothing would ever come close.

SNSD is Love!

Thanks for translating this, really. It really made me feel a lot better (I went through a bit today).

It's very, very encouraging to see SONEs express themselves this way, and from personal experience, when SONEs speak from the heart, there are always beautiful things to be heard. We love our girls. So much. Unconditionally. It's a relationship that only the girls and we understand, and something we should be very, very proud of.

Moving on in the years to come, the girls will face many hardships, countless challenges, but we pray, we always pray that they will overcome those obstacles just like how they did since their debut: through the sweat and tears they share with each other and with us SONEs. We pray that they will forge on and break new ground, expanding their horizons as much as ours, creating a new path for others to follow.

They need not be afraid, because they have love to count on to pull through. Love for each other, and love for us SONEs because no matter what, no matter what, we will always be with them. Add that to the list of universal truths.

We will make it, together.

Completed: Doppelganger
One-Shot Collection: Forever

Individually, they're characteristically and esoterically amazing, but together, they represent a force of love, hope, passion and dedication the likes of which the world has never seen. They are unfathomable. They are incontrovertible. Make no mistake. They are Girls' Generation.
