Starting on May 12th, Sunny will be the new DJ for MBC FM4U’s “FM Date”. “FM Date” airs every day from 8 PM KST to 10 PM KST. The program will give a warm, comfortable atmosphere during after-work hours.
Since her debut eight years ago, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny has been a fixed guest on Kim Shinyoung’s Shim Shim Tapa, and also a DJ with Super Junior’s Sungmin on “Chunji Radio” for nine months.
Sunny also revealed that, “Due to older sister’s influence, I listened to the radio a lot while growing up. Even now, I often listen to the radio while traveling by car. Through the years, I was disappointed that I didn’t have many opportunities to communicate to the public, but now that this opportunity has come, I’m very nervous and excited. I’ll work hard to be a DJ that tells stories that many listeners can relate and connect with.”
The staff also said, “You’ll definitely be able to see a friendly and easy-going side of Sunny that you can’t see on stage.
Fans may tune into “FM Date” through MBC’s desktop, iOS, or Android applications.

It’s awesome that Sunny is getting this opportunity. It may need some flexibility to keep up with her musical and performances with snsd but I think arrangements can easily be made. The only disappointment is that I’ll be at work when it is on.

I think Sunny need not worry about the tours, because the shows can also be pre-recorded. That is what Tayeon did in her radio days.

i am happy that sunny bags another gig, however with GG’s 3rd Japan Tour plus her musical, Singin in the Rain… im sure in a way or another, some activities will overlap. i hope sunny won’t get sick.
