On July 15th, Gaon released the chart rankings for the first half of 2013. Girls’ Generation once again showed their popularity with “I Got A Boy”, which ranked first on the physical sales chart with a total of 285,090 albums sold.
Girls’ Generation also ranked ninth on the digital sales chart with an incredible 157,758,027 digital points, which includes 6,862,003 downloads (ranked 6th on the downloads chart).
The girls’ amazing success just six months after their long awaited Korean comeback no doubt bodes well for their future accomplishments.

I like how so many SM artists are in the top 10 physical album sales. Plus physical sales are more important right? Yet the number 9 always appears haha they always place 9 or 1 for something ;)

i wish that i could have bought digital download off them Korean sites but it seem only for S.K. residents. that’s alright though because K-S♥nes are still staying loyal and supportive to their 9 angels. K-S♥nes jjang! I-S♥nes jjang! ALL S♥NEs JJANG!
p.s. i bought iTunes(U.S.) IGAB and bought physical IGAB and still have all 9 individual copies to collect. downloading off Korean sites would have been sweet too.

nice. the girls are still on top! yay. the digital sales – kind of expected it. from the music charts, baechigi and sistar are pretty consistent… but anyway, the physical sales is conquered by our girls. yay~
seems strange as there were reports that EXO’s Wolf had sold like 300,000 over albums.. so maybe they didnt take into account of EXO’s wolf release yet..
I hope SNSD would follow up with a repacked of IGAB later this year, and add the sales figure onto IGAB..so maybe they can win a disk award at year end..
Winston, those report about EXO’s album are the total amount of both Korean and Chinese ver. album while Gaon didn’t acknowledge it as a whole but separately (they are #3 & #5 in physical chart).
Makes me wonder what SoShi has in store for their next comeback. IGAB set the bar really high and it’s gonna take a lot to top it.

i wish one day SNSD has the power to sell more than 500k for their album.. (something which DBSK, and Super Junior has achieved).. and hit 1 million album mark for their 2nd Japanese album soon..
no news on the sales of the 2nd japanese album..and how much its selling now.. i presume the 2nd japan areana tour would encourage and boost more album sales of their 2nd japan album..
