Girls’ Generation – TTS’s first album, “Twinkle”, has debuted at 126th on the “Billboard 200” album chart, a weekly ranking of the highest-selling albums and EPs in the United States. This is the highest position held on the “Billboard 200” album chart by any Korean artist yet, surpassing BoA and Big Bang, who once ranked 127th and 150th, respectively. Girls’ Generation – TTS also placed first on Billboard’s “World Albums” chart, second on Billboard’s “Heatseekers Albums” chart, sixth on Billboard’s “Korea K-Pop Hot 100” music chart, and 21st on Billboard’s “Independent Albums” chart. The American and worldwide response to “Twinkle” is especially surprising considering “Twinkle” is an entirely Korean album.

“Twinkle” also broke records by ranking fourth out of the overall album chart in the US iTunes store, the highest position on the chart by a Korean artist. The album also reached high positions on iTunes charts in Japan, Mexico, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, Japan, Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Bulgaria, Finland, and Italy.

“Twinkle” improves on Girls’ Generation’s success with “The Boys”, which also received recognition all over the world. The special version of “The Boys” debuted at the second spot on Billboard’s “World Albums” chart and at the 22nd spot on Billboard’s “Heatseekers Albums” chart. The album also ranked 82nd on France’s Top 100 chart and 64th on Spanish music charts.

Girls’ Generation – TTS recently made their debut on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on May 3rd. They performed “Twinkle” and “Baby Steps” wowing the audience and the fans alike.
