ah I prefer to make things more complicated so the plot for my fic is not an exception. That's why it takes quite a long time to put ideas in the most logical order so that readers can get the gist quickly.

wow writing a YY fan fic is a FAB idea! Me love it! :D I think the more you read, the more you get used to English grammar as well as the structure of a fanfic. In my opinion, the toughest part in writing is flexible lexicon, even native speakers make grammatical mistake! Go for it!
