It does. Perhaps they're trying to get at the fact that the Taxi is so fast, it is going at a supersonic speed AND creating a hypertonic solution that dehydrates the cells in our body.

Or frankly, it's just a cool word and it goes with the song..

I think hypersonic would make more sense, but no contrast from the the first word.
