Today, the official Japan ticketing site for Girls’ Generation in Japan sent out e-mails saying that a teaser for Girls’ Generation’s 1st Japanese album will be revealed through SM Entertainment’s official YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/sment) on May 21, 2011 at 00:00 JST/KST.

This was a quick follow-up to the big news released on the 16th. The album is set to release on June 1, 2011, with three editions available for purchase.

Fans have been anticipating the girls’ first Japanese album since they debuted in Japan with “Genie” back in September 2010. Since then, Girls’ Generation has released two other songs which were remakes of the Korean versions: “Gee” and “Run Devil Run”. They are also currently promoting their original Japanese track “MR. TAXI”.
