On December 29th, Girls’ Generation performed in the “2013 SBS Gayo Daejun”, SBS’s large annual end-of-year music show. Girls’ Generation had recently performed in KBS’s “Gayo Daechukje” on December 27th.
The “2013 SBS Gayo Daejun” opened with a rendition of “Sleigh Ride” by members of multiple groups and soloists. Though Girls’ Generation did not participate, Hyoyeon and Seohyun can be spotted in the background in the artists’ waiting area.
Later, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun gave a performance of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love”. The three members of Girls’ Generation – TTS dressed in white outfits for the special stage, which also included members of EXO and instrumentalists in the background.
Lastly, Girls’ Generation ended the performances with “Express 999” and “I Got A Boy”. Though again unfortunately forced to perform without Yoona, the group looked stunning while dressed in black and gold outfits.
Finally, the show ended with a clip of SBS’s “Friendship Project”, “You Are A Miracle”, which featured Sunny, Tiffany, Yuri, and Seohyun among many other artists.
After the show, Sunny tweeted her thanks to those who attended and watched Girls’ Generation’s performance.

Bad Cameraman in Express 999 and I Got A Boy
I’m so damn furious with the cameraman during GG’s performance! I won’t say much since everyone already voiced out exactly how I feel!!! Anyway, wow tts’s performance is AWESOME!!! I hope their future album will have a concept like this!! And GG’s dance floor & background is really beautiful! Luckily everything goes on smoothly except the sound system & the cameraman!!! GG fighting!! Btw. Can anyone explain what does gayo means? What does gayo daechukje and this gayo means?

gayo(가요) means ‘pop song’ or ‘pop music’
daechukje(대축제) means ‘big festival’
daejeon(대전) means ‘big ceremony’ ‘state ceremony’
dae(대, 大) usually stands for something big.

i love the musical twist TTS did with “Crazy in Love”. i could picture them doing some kind of “swing” concept for future album now. outfits were awesome and love the curls they were sporting in their hair and those white gloves. wonderful ladies ♥.♥
now as usual the girls always doing their damndest to put on a good performance for the fans and here we got a camera director(s) on crack or something doing gawd knows what. like seriously since Sunny confirm that they were rehearsing and with staffs around, shouldn’t they at least got the camera work on point when the final stage is set? it’s not the worst camera work i’ve seen involving our girls but it’s up there along with some other bad camera direction in past performances. again the sound system is so bad that even Taeyeon is struggling to hold a note and be heard through her mic. big program as this and still haven’t graduated from crappy sound system level. that’s really bad, maybe part of that also disappoint Sunny. also girls didn’t even look comfortable dancing so high on that platform. i could see them watching their steps and trying to be careful. lastly it’s incomplete again without the beautiful center, Yoona.

I appreciate the different angles as I can see the dance from different perspective, but the timing for camera change and zoom work….OMFG!
Well, I enjoyed the performances, even if it wasn’t the best camerawork, I won’t complain since everyone else is doing so much of that. It’s really great to see Sunny with long brown hair again. It feels like her blonde short hair was someone else, so it’s like Sunny is back! :D Sad Yoona wasn’t there, sad to say it took me until Tiffany singing her rap in IGAB to even notice…(so many girls and busy camera make it hard to notice, ya!) haha..I am excitedly watching her drama tho. :D
TTS performance was amazing! The director did great there but during Express 999 and IGAB, oh my.. I want to flip tables. It was terrible.

The camera director didn’t know what the heck he was doing… too many close-ups on the wrong member during their individual parts.
