My short history of being a SONE
It all started way back in the year 2009
. I don't listen to K-Pop yet by that time (like I don't know what it is, literally
). During those days, the music genre you'd commonly find in my play list in my phone or in my iPod are Rock, Progressive Metal, Punk, Pop, J-Rock etc. One day, I received a text message from one of my friends who's apparently listening to K-Pop. The last line of his message states: "Now playing: Into the New World by Girls' Generation"
The next day, I approached my friends and asked who Girls' Generation is. And to my surprise, many of my friends know of them! I really got intrigued; "Is Girls' Generation really that good?". I started asking what songs to listen to. Eventually, I came across the music video of
"Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)". NOW THAT GOT ME HOOKED
!!! After I saw that music video, I instantly got hooked and I started searching for their discography
. And with the help (influence, to be exact
) of a friend of mine, I eventually became addicted!
Soon afterwards, I signed up here at Soshified last April 16, 2010. Thanks to Soshified, I'm now able to keep up with the news about the girls
.
Since then, I've been trying to collect anything related to SNSD
(videos, photos, music, SSF-PH shirt etc.) I don't have much resources so I only have a few. But of all things related to SNSD that I have, my most prized possession is the
Run Devil Run Album (with 9 individual posters, 1 group poster, 2 different thank you cards and a Yoona poster included in the album package) that I bought in the Album launch of RDR here in the Philippines last May 22, 2010. I actually have an orientation for that day (which was important) but I gave it up and went to the album launch event with my friends instead! (Oh well, I just consider it as my official initiation as a SONE
Hahahahaha! Then I guess that also counts as my first adventure as a SONE.
)

Happy third anniversary Girls' Generation!! Wow! 
You've reached a very long way since you've started three years ago. It's certainly remarkable to have you in our lives! You inspire us all and keep us going! My life will never be the same without you. You surely did leave an ineradicable mark in my heart and I'm sure you've done the same to other people as well! There might have been a number of hardships along the way but it sure did pay off! 
We Filipino fans here in the Philippines and all over the world will always be here! Thanks for being Girls' Generation!
