okay, so i went to kfest 2009. it was super fun, and i think that there were some great performances. i was really excited about SNSD's performance, and my excitement was growing even more as the hours went by. soooo... when their performance finally came around, i expected myself to be screaming my head off, jumping up and down, dancing to gee, etc. but, strangely, i wasn't. there were a few disappointments that really put a damper on my entire experience:

First, their mics weren't freaking working. like, seriously? they're only there for three measly songs, and you're not going to make sure that their mics were in full working order? ughh.... nonetheless, the girls who you could hear singing sounded great! especially tiffany with her loud, booming voice.

Second, disorganization! the girls last year seemed super ready for their performance, but something this year just didn't seem right. especially at the point when they were supposed to introduce themselves and stuff. there was no personal introduction, and it even seemed like they hadn't decided who was going to speak before they came on stage. something just seemed... off.

Third, SOOOOOO disappointed that the girls didn't come out for the finale. i mean, i know that it's probably not the girls' fault, and i'm sure that their managers, higher ups, didn't allow them to come out... i DON'T KNOW! but, i was sorely disappointed that the girls did not come out for the finale. in my humble opinion, i think that it really made them look bad and "too cool" for the finale. like, especially since they probably knew that a LOT of the people there came to see them personally. sad. i think it just reflected poorly on them. if ANYONE knows of why they didn't come out in the finale, i'd really like to know. i really don't mean to bash on the girls; i'm just confused about the whole ordeal.

anyway, that is my two cents on everything. gosh, i'm going out on a limb posting this, and i'm probably going to offend some hardcore fans out there, but honestly, i'm a HUGE fan myself. eek...

but, to end this post on a positive note, the girls looked great! the "solo" appearances by jessica and teayeon were SOOO good! and, the fans, of course, really came out to support.
