[01.15.2012] Hong Kong put it back on!

16 January 2012 - 02:44 AM

After 13 hours of waiting in line, finally hearing Fany shout "Hong Kong put it back on!" was worth every single second of it. (now I just have to wish for world tour to come to Canada :P)

Please allow me to start at the beginning, as it was part of the concert day experience. I woke up at 5am at the hotel to get ready and get to the Expo arena. I finally got to the Expo at 7:15am and was supposed to meet Nightseas there, but apparently he wasn't feeling well and slept in. I called him and tell him there are already like 200 people lining up and then he rushed to line up with me. :P

We were waiting in the rain at the beginning, then I guess they felt bad for us and decided to open the hall of the Expo early to let us wait inside. One of Nightseas's friend from Japan was also lining up with us, but she got a section A1 ticket, the line was split up later, so we couldn't wait together. Since I have experience from the New York fanmeeting, I came prepared with bread and water for the wait LOL.

We spend the time talking about SNSD's concepts, varity shows, reviewing fanchants... time actually passed by faster then we thought. Later in the afternoon, a group of Japanese Sone walked by and they were dressed up in Oh's performance clothing, the boys in my waiting area actually cheered LOL.

When we finally able to head inside the concert hall, I realized section B is not good for a danshin like me. The stage is REALLY REALLY high, and I was in the 3rd row of block B. Really close yes, but the stage actually blocked half of the main stage screen, and the two side screens are blocked by the Sone in front of me.... This is almost like my line of view lol. The girl beside me resort to holding up her camera, and look at the performance through her camera screen... >.<

But I did manage to take a peak here and there at the side screen, and saw a few of the girls when they come really close to the stage in front of section B. The girls who stopped in front of us were Jessica, Seohyun, Tiffany and Yoona. I didn't get to see Sooyoung and Yuri much...

The fan events was a success, too bad the pink ballons didn't look as good as we thought, but a great thanks to the various HK fanclubs, I know they put in a lot of effort into making all the events. The "You + Me = Complete" sign was so touching, I look around me and literally everyone was holding it up.

The fan chant for the songs was great, more people know it than I thought. Especially for Gee, Oh and The Boys. It was so loud, after Gee, the girls and us sing the chorus again.

During Forever, one of the fans event was everyone do a pinky promise sign to the girls, Jessica was in front of us, and she respond to us and made the promise sign too, everyone in my area was going crazy!

At encore, everyone was supposed to shout "Sone bring the girls out!", but we all seems to start at different time. At the end some people resort to shouting encore instead.

A lot of people who went to the CNBlue concert earlier said the security was checking really hard for camera, so a lot of us didn't bring it. But now a lot of us are regretting, they didn't check bag at all. And everyone in my area was holding camera/cellphone, no one said anything...
