It's now five years ( i can't believe it !). 5 years is a long journey for you, our Girls Generation. From 9 unknown girls, in the blink of an eye, you now become 9 famous girls, not only in the South Korea but also in Asia and in the world. I always feel proud of being a fan of such an awesome girls group like that. I know your lives have been very hard since you debuted in 2007. But I'm glad that You girls had gone through this journey together as one despite facing obstacles in all sorts of form. I just want to say Thank you for everything you have made for 5 years to make us all happy. I just hope you girls will stay healthy, happy and this is NOT the last year for me to celebrate your anniversary. SONEs will always be right behind you, every step of your way. You guys really have come a long way. It's already been five years, huh? Starting from Gee, you've released smash hits that have captured the hearts of many not only in Korea, but even internationally. Now you are without a doubt, Korea's #1 girl group. This is the day where we celebrate you. Taeyeon, Jessica, Yoona, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Tiffany. Every one of you. All your accomplishments and successes.

Now we all know their music is fantastic, but that's not the main reason I love them. It's because of the wide variety of personalities SNSD delivers. Taeyeon's dorkiness, Jessica's icy personality, Yoona's radiance, Seohyun's intelligence, Sooyoung's assertiveness, Hyoyeon's humour, Tiffany's kindness, Yuri's sexiness, and finally Sunny's aegyo. This is but only some of the few words I can use to describe SNSD. There simply aren't enough adjectives in the world ^^.

I was once a person who wasn't interested in music. Being in the generation I am, where everyone has earphones plugged in, I really didn't understand the big deal. That is, until I found out about SNSD. They had completely en-captivated me. I spent hours watching variety shows, and still do. I just had to find out more about them. They were so interesting.

Once again, Happy 5th Anniversary! If you guys last forever, we'll be here for you forever~

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY TO SO NYUH SHI DAE/GIRLS' GENERATION!!!!!

It's already 5 years eh?
How fast time really flies..
2011-mid 2012 has indeed been your year..
A year where some of you took on individual roles that are new to you..

Jessica and Yuri got cast for Wild Romance and Fashion King repectively for the 1st time..
Even though it was your 1st time acting, you put in a lot of effort in portraying your respective characters..
The result? Great reviews and good comments even from the critics!!
Yoona too took on a main role in the drama Love Rain..
And what can I say? You did it flawlessly!
But I was shocked and a bit jealous when I saw in an article about how much you earn in just HALF the year!
I'm sure being an idol has it's pros and cons too and I know you earned that much through her hard and dedicated work

Not forgetting Tiffany and Sunny who tried out your hands on musicals..
Even though musicals require a lot of effort in terms of showing emotions and singing, you made things easy by going through it smoothly..
And I'm really happy that both musicals ended in a great note
Taeyeon and Seohyun landed roles as MCs alongside Tiffany in Music Core..
The verdict? Smooth MCing, great humour and also a lively atmosphere with the audience in the studio and at home
Also Sooyoung who became a main MC for SBS Midnight TV Entertainment!
I think more people will start tuning in to the show now that you are one of the main people of the show

BUT the person I am proud of is Hyoyeon!
From being the least active to becoming the MOST active of the members!
Being cast for Invincible Youth alongside Sunny who sadly, left the show , you inject a lot of humour and strength to G5..
You showed your determination when doing work in the fields and you never let anybody down!
Also you were part of Dancing With The Stars!
Even though the dances were completely new to you, you took it on with no problems and got 2nd place overall!
A true dancing queen! I'm really proud of you!

Some people said before that SNSD won't last more than 5 years..
But I know that comment is rendered useless..
Coz I believe that SNSD will last a LOOOOONGGGG TIMEEEEE..
The sweat, the happiness and the tears you guys have produced all these years since debut have been proved fruitful..
You showed us the strength and dedication you have in your hearts that you can do most things possible..
You have also won another Daesang this year..
This Daesang is the result of your hard work you guys put in for us fans and other people..

Continue to strive in what you believe in..
Coz I know with the strength of 9 of you together, you can reach to even greater heights!
Take care of each other and look out for each others' health!

For what?
I think I would not know about this nine-member South Korean girl group if not because of the S♡NEs;
Soshified members, K-S♡NEs, Ph-S♡NEs, and S♡NEs from all around the world. You know, how you upload the pictures, share the fancams, sub the videos, make GIFs, translate Hangul, update infos, spazz, and everything a S♡NE would do under the sun.
I am really amazed how you do all these things despite the fact that we're also human; we have our own personal lives to mind.

Happy 5th anniversary, girls generation!

Girls generation is my greatest inspiration. Its awesome how you girls have so crazily busy schedules with so little hours of sleep and yet still put in your 200% effort in whatever you do. Every time I feel stressed out and feel like giving up, i think of girls generation trying their best no matter how tired or stressed out they are, and I tell myself "You can do it."
I may not have been a sone for many years, but I really really love girls generation. All nine of you never fail to brighten up my day. You guys have changed my life. Every time I see you guys on stage during a performance, I feel so proud of each and everyone of you.
I have never seen girls generation in real life before, but I pray for that day to come. No matter what happens in the future, please always be girls generation. Thank you for being girls generation. Happy 5th anniversary!

I am truly, truly honored to make SNSD a part of my life.

When I just stepped into high school, the nine of you stepped into the wonderful journey of hard work, joy, glory, fame, hopes and dreams. Now your birthday is just around the corner. I sincerely congratulate you on making your fifth year!

It makes tears flow out of my eyes when I remember you guys kickstarted your journey with 'Into The New World'. After lots and lots of songs, variety shows, CFs, photoshoot sessions, interviews and concerts, you guys made it to the top.

Now that you can see the whole world, don't forget about us SONEs who will always be here for you guys, and we the ones who keep on supporting you even in the midst of our exams, our illness, busy schedules, or our exhaustion from work.

I know that you guys are busy with your own personal activities, but do remember that your SISTERHOOD will NEVER END. May the fifth year of your success make you better in everything you do, and keep on working hard, and play hard!!!

SNSD is, and always will be, the only group that TOUCHED MY HEART. It's almost impossible to see ultra-fame and modesty in one person, but you proved me wrong. Although I wasn't a SONE since 2007, but I'm glad that I have became one since 2010 and counting.....
I have never thought of entering the fandom and looking up to these 9 girls. But I really have no regrets becoming a huge fan of Girls' Generation.

Well, im just gonna keep it short and sweet cos I'm bad with words..... I just wanna say that, I hope I can continue to look up to you girls, get inspired, motivated and of course SONEs will never stop supporting you girls. We hope to spend the next 5, 10, 20 years and forever with you girls.

Oh my ....5 Years already?!? that was fast... i serious regret not becoming a sone earlier.. 8 months has passed so fast since I saw u girls..( Hope to see u girls soon~)

Gosh.. U ARE AMAZING. U girls are really role models to many people. Even though it was tough, u girls persevered and came out on tops.
There are really no words to describe how all 9 of u have impacted me as a regular person. U give us the strength to carry on in our rough moments because u have shown us that no matter what is thrown our way, keep going on and trying hard and always to do best. Everytime I ve a hard time believing in myself or making decisions or being courageous, I think about how those 9 young girls worked hard through the nights, practicing without complaining, and its because they made the choice to follow their dreams to become artists. Its amazing how u have persevered through all that and matured to be the Girls Generation u are today. Tears appear everytime I see videos showing how much u girls have been through and how....Amazing u are..*speechless*

5 years used to be the maximum lifespan of girl groups...but you have proved otherwise...Its the start of something new. Global Generation. Last year, I was mad at myself for only becoming a SONE 2.25 years ago..seeing how it would b the 5th anniversary this year.. i was worried that GG will .....(dis-and) BUT. this year, I know and I can 100% say that, GirlsGeneration will be around a long time to come.. Sone+ Soshi= Love. Following what u commented in an interview recently, years from now, we will still be there with you, for you, cheering you on at ur concert <3
Screaming and cheering like never before only for GirlsGeneration. No matter what others say, I will forever proudly state that I am a SONE, and I have and will never regret it one bit.

Happy 5th anniversary, Girls' Generation. I was fortunate enough to see you when you came to Mountain View, California for the Google K-pop wave concert. I had printed out poems that I had written to you, but it was so crazy that I didn't get it to a staff member before the concert and you had all left by the time I got to the front gates to give to a staff member. Happy 5th Anniversary ladies !!

Feels like 4th Anniversary just passed yesterday. Ahh.... It's been another year now. Each year passes so quickly maybe the next time i know, it would be Soshi's 10th Anniversary )

Ever since i stepped into this fandom, i felt different. Being able to meet new people, knowing such awesome things about you girls and knowing the greatest people in our fandom. I really thank all of you girls, and of course, everyone in this fandom.

To be VERY honest, no amount of 'Thank you' can show how much we appreciate you girls. Hmm... You know right... How much we love you. I believe you do. keke.

I wish/hope/pray that this day will be enjoyed to the fullest. Of course, everyday must be enjoyed to the fullest.

Girls' Generation. A very big inspiration. A very great encouragement. An awesome girl group with awesome people. These 9 angels given to us by God. Thank you so much. Let's flashback to 5 years ago, when the girls tried their best to be accepted as the girlband of Korea
From the video, we can see how tired the girls were after the performance *especially our Ice Princess Jessica*
But they didn't easily give up, though they had to practice so hard, being trained so many years, they won't say "It's enough for me, I'll give up"
They are SNSD, they are our beloved girls, they are the reasons why we're proud of
Personally, I have learned many things since i knew about SNSD..
From SNSD, i knew about the meaning of friendship, even it can be a family
We call it "SOSHIBOND", our 9 angels, despite of differences, are able to live together for 5 years *or more than that?*
They always try to understand each other, about their feelings, problems, and many more, because they are one
From SNSD, i also learned not to give up easily, though i'm facing the world full of problems Solve it! Face it! Don't be scared and give up!

5^th August 2012 also means that I’ve been with you for about 5 years . It reminds me about the beginning of me loving SNSD and K-Pop. The first song that I knew and made me attached to SNSD is actually the song from your first album, Tinkerbell. “I’ll be your Tinkerbell in the sky” that’s a small part of the beautiful lyric^^. Knowing SNSD also made me get “Into The New World”, the Kpop world~.

Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Seohyun, Sooyoung and Yoona unnie,

as every of you said that you’ll always be proud of being SNSD’s member, we (Sones) too will always be proud of knowing, adoring and accompanying you for more years in the future .

For me, SNSD are 9 amazing and wonderful unnies that become role-models for me . And watching you step by step reaching & fulfilling your dreams one by one together energizes me to work hard too just like you. SNSD getting the approval as the Nation’s Girl Group, till you’re now become the leading Hallyu Girl Group is something that can’t be achieved just in one night..the hard work contains lots of sweat, tiredness, happiness and every moments that SNSD & SONEs shared together .
