Just like this fan account I never intended on going to the musical but a few days before Christmas I made a last minute decision to go to Seoul, to take care of some personal business. It was going to be a short trip; I was arriving early Friday morning and leaving Sunday morning. Right after I booked my ticket I came across Tiffany’s performance dates and realized I was going to be in Korea during one of her performances and free that night, so I immediately booked tickets on Interpark.
Arriving at 5am, in Seoul, I was pretty jet lagged and miserable but I decided to take full advantage of my two days in Korea.
I apologize for all pictures in this thread; I know they’re really horrible quality. I also use the word ‘amazing’ a lot.
Went shopping in Myeongdong, of course I stopped by Innisfree and Spao. I bought A LOT at Innisfree. I didn’t get any Yoona posters or whatever, but the sales lady gave me just as many samples as I had bought in items and I was too shy to ask.

Stopped by the Spao store and Everysing store. Didn’t buy anything but they had a bunch of birthday caps on clearance for 19,000 won, for our girls they only had Hyoyeon and Sunny available though.

After shopping I headed to Olympic Park for the musical. It was kind of surreal to see all the fan club rice donations in person, after seeing all of the pictures of them and being really impressed.

I was able to pick up some programs and of course picked up my 110,000 won tickets.

I was actually quite shocked in how un-packed the place was. All of the side seats were empty and I believe the upper deck seats were as well. Perhaps it was because on the 6th Tiffany was the only celebrity performing? Which I actually preferred, but it didn’t matter because as soon as the show started my eyes, and seriously so was everyone else, just glued on Tiffany every scene she was in.
Just to quickly recap:
Her acting: It was good. Sorry, I’m not the best at judging acting but I have no complaints.
Her dancing: I was actually glad Tiffany did a good job with the dance routines, especially in the huge cast ensemble dance routines. Even if she did make any mistakes, she kept her poker face on the whole show. I loved the scene where she’s in ballet class, it was so cute and funny … plus why wouldn’t it be great to see Tiffany do some ballet moves?
Her singing: We’ve all seen the press showing recordings of her “Fame” number, as well as the fancams of the end of the musical where she does the “Fame” reprise, and there’s a reason why two weeks later I’m still singing “FAME .. I’m gonna live forever.. I’m gonna fly high~~” She was great singing basically the main theme of the musical. But, what impressed me the most was during her performances of “Bring on Tomorrow” and her solo song “In L.A.” I really want to see her sing “In L.A.” again, it was amazing. It’s such a great song and such an important part, if not one of the more crucial parts to the story, and Tiffany nailed it.
Overall, it was great. I really think Tiffany and the musical actor who plays Tyrone stole the show. I might be biased but they’re also playing the two characters that bring the show and story line … a lot more than Nick and Serena who kind of bored me. The ending of the musical really came suddenly to me, even though I’ve seen the broadway play back home in the states. I really didn’t want it to end, but I definitely knew it was ending when EVERYONE whipped out their cameras. I was kicking myself for not bringing my dslr with me. I settled for some crappy pictures taken by my phone’s camera.

I’m really thankful that Tiffany just so happened to have a performance the weekend I was in Seoul. I saw a bunch of Filipino Sone there and some Korean Americans were sitting behind me … so many fans from around the world flying into Korea (well Sone will fly to anywhere) to see them. Great job Tiffany, I hope to see you in more musicals in the future!
PS: I did spend a good amount of time trying to spot out shining smile haha

The business I had to take care of on Saturday didn’t turn out that well, but at least I had the musical to make my trip to Seoul very positive. After seeing the girls for the first time at SMTOWN NYC and having a great experience at the fan meet, this was another great Sone moment for me to see one of the girls in a musical.
