Pre-concert. Preparation stage
Before the start of the concert, we decided to go for the railings at the left of the stage because we knew that particular location has tons of fan service (based on first day experience). It was also surprising that we managed to get that spot because we were pretty late to line up. We only started to join the queue at about 12pm. We still hope to at least get a standing position right at the railings. Instead of using cardboard banners, we used 2 iPads and lightsticks as our main fan board. During the queue, we started the design work on the iPads but drawing on iPads is really tough. It easily burned us 3-4 hours just to write their names down properly. Even with that, the drawings weren’t really perfect at all.
One of the iPads was used as a main banner that consists of all the 9 members name and a few miscellaneous drawing. The second iPad was used purely for support (사랑해요 and special banners for individual members). The purpose was to combine the two iPads together to form a combination banner. There were three special banner that were design for specific members. Peas for Taeyeon , STRESS for Sica and Sunny’s Bunny
.So the gates finally opened at 4.50 and we were able to get into pen B. 2 of the members were actually standing close to the main stage but the other 2 found an empty railing slot and from first day experience, we knew that the elevator was located at that particular area so we decided to stand there . After the bridge was locked down to close off pen B, it was surprising that it wasn’t all packed and there were heaps of space to maneuver around. Even the number of banners wasn't that much, and it was mostly Yuri banners we had our banners all set and all we have to do were to “scroll” for it.
The Main Event ( Starting of CONCERT !!!! )
General experience of the concert
The stage suddenly got dark and we knew it was starting!! The crowd was going crazy as Soshi came up from the middle of the stage to open with “Genie”. They followed with some of their Japanese, Korean, individual stages and “The Boys” English Version. For some the songs for instance,” The Boys”,” Gee”, “Hoot”,“ITNW” was really loud. It was even louder than the music! SONEs DAEBAK. SONEs also did a special event for Soshi at the end of their “Complete” performance. The whole stadium held up a piece of paper that says “소녀시대 makes our lives complete”. Some of the Soshi member teared up when this happened so it was a great success. We were also lucky enough to have a couple (actually a lot) of fan services from Soshi members. Read below for further information.
Jessica
During “you-a-holic” there is a part where the girls would be standing on the elevator platform and elevate up to perform at both the sides. We were located in pen b and struggling to choose which picture to use as banner. Right then, Sica was just directly in front of us and we quickly choose the STRESS picture trying to get her attention. When she looked over and saw it, it was her chorus part and she almost burst into laughter seeing our iPad banner!! It was obvious that she was trying to hold back her laugh.
The second time Sica came, she knew about our banner position and looking towards us again. Held onto the banner with stress wording again and yet again she wanted to burst in to laughters. The last 2 fan service from Sica was during HAHA song showed her the Jessica banners with hearts she smiled at us and she saw us trying to change back to stress and she laughed at us heartily
. Also, when Sica pointed the mic towards pen b for us to sing along, she became surprised because it was really loud! Gorjess Shippers Jjang !!
Seohyun
When we first entered the concert hall, our hopes on getting Seohyun attention wasn't high at all because opposite us on the terrace there was a huge Goguma Couple fan base there. We really didn't get much attention at first but during the later part (I think it was during “Fantastic”), she came out towards our side and caught attention of our banners that says 서헌 사랑해요 with heart shapes. She then bent towards us and gave us a wave! We were really happy at that point because we manage to catch her attention from the Goguma side. To add it up, after waving towards us, she put her hands on her head to make a heart shape posture! Omg our hearts literally melted!!
Tiffany
We weren't really concentrating about the songs but instead we were just crazily spazzing to see the girls around that area. Fany blew out flying kisses to fellow SONEs at the side of us and of course we wanted her attention so badly we stretched out both the iPads saying Tiffany 사랑해요 and she saw it. She was almost to the extent of squatting down just to look at our banners. She was happy and waved at us. She lastly topped it up with her famous eye smile wink
.. Our hearts literally stopped for a moment . Angel has descended from the sky ! .. Fany ahhhhhh!!
Hyoyeon
Hyoyeon did stop by our side a couple of times. She was around the Pen B side running up and down, acknowledging both side of the terrace and Pen B SONEs. In the beginning, we waved a 소녀시대 banner. She did see it but she was waving at the crowd in general. So for the second time, we decided to use a 효연 사랑해요 banner. This time when she saw it, she gave a special fan service by smiling at our banners and giving us a small heart gesture! Totally making us feel in the groove n wanna pop like how the dancing queens takes it on stage.
Sunny - highlight of the day
Oh my god where do we even start with Sunny...we were disappointed at the start because Sunny did not really come to our section during the beginning. We really wanted to show her our 써니 with bunny drawing on it to her. Things changed during at the middle of the performance when she came at our side for the first time. Well, she did come during My Child but she was facing at the terrace. The changed came when she came to our side (can’t remember which song was on). Best chance so far to get her attention, but alas she did not see it...or so we thought. We kept screaming for Sunny and wave the banner even though she already passed us. Just before she wanted to turn to the middle stage direction, she caught a glimpse of our 써니 banner but couldn't see our 2nd banner of a bunny properly due to the super awkward position of our banner (we were extending the banner far off the railing). At that moment, she actually TILTED almost 90 degrees towards the stage looking back just to see our banner! She smiled at our message and went off.
She obviously remembered our banners as she was practically looking around for our banner the next time she came over. We kinda failed at this part because she came over so fast this time round and only the 써니 banner was up. We were scrolling to find for the bunny picture on our iPad but it was too late. She did seem to witness our attempt though because she did turn her head towards the back and laughed at our attempt. Even if it did kinda failed the second time, she still did acknowledged our effort so it was all great!
Third attempt. I think she really did wanna give us a proper fan service(or at least we wished it was so
). This time it didn't take her long to see our banner again. She brought forth her aegyo wink at us! As she walked a few more steps away from us, she turned around to give us a peace sign!! We guessed the bunny did looks like a peace sign? Who cares, she gave us more fan service! Best Sunny moments in our life! Sunny jjang!! Sunny Oppaaaaaaa!!!
Taeyeon
Taeyeon did run by a couple of times but somehow she always missed our dukkung banners! Most of the time, she only ran pass us without stopping. There was a time she did stop for Pen B's fans but again she missed it! We were really disappointed with all the fail attempts to get Taeyeon's attention. In the end our special message for Taeyeon ended up in a big failure
. We didn’t think she even saw our banner the entire performance...oh well 
Yuri
Oh my Yuri oh my, there was like a billion Yuri banners around and it was really hard for us to get a fan service from her. On the bright side though, she did see our banner but she was a little occupied to give us a reply : (. She did come to the Pen B side often but our banner didn’t catch her vision. It was really a heart breaking moment because we thought her name banner we created looked the best among the 9 girls.
Yoona
We had little to no chance to even flash Yoona’s banner. Overall, she came to the left of the stage very little compared amount of times compared to the other Soshi members. The best opportunity we got was when we raised the 소녀시대 banner for them but only the 소녀 part of it came out, the second banner wasn’t ready for the 시대. We tried to catch that split moment but we failed in getting her attention. Wished that she could have given us another attempt to show her our sincerity =/. Truly a goddess in disguised
Sooyoung
Sooyoung was focusing more on the middle of the stage. Her situation was pretty similar to Yoona. She did not come to the left of the stage often. And when opportunity came, she was just zooming pass us to get back to their positions in the middle. Aigooooo
Ending thoughts
The four of us did something that we had never thought of doing before in our lives. Few members lost their voice from screaming at the start till the very end of the concert. Lined up with other Sones in the heat and affected YoonYul89 for a bias changed towards SunSica.
We even tried to camp for their departure but unfortunately we did not know which flight exactly they were on until late tweets came in saying they were boarding SIA. We tried our luck with Korean Air
.Anyone actually saw us and our banners please do give us a shoutout we would really appreciate it. YoonYul89 was the guy walking around with a Manchester United jersey with SNSD 9 printing on the back.
Special thanks to
Mr Head of Security of Pen B – We managed to make friends with him. During Sunny’s individual performance he rolled up the warning paper that states no photography etc , and give it to YoonYul89 to shout ! He screamed Encore with us and also at the end of the concert he personally gave us two bottles of water just for us. Kudos for Mr Head of Security.
Sunshiner in a black hoodie – We got the idea of the Bunny from the back of a hoodie worn by a random Sunshiner. Thanks for the Sunny Bunny.
Lastly thanks to SONEs that heated the atmosphere and last but not least to our nine lovely angels that gave us an unforgettable weekend. 사랑해요 소녀시대
