They certainly have so many options, especially when it comes to fashion, given who they are and the (most likely) countless number of sponsored stuff they have, but seeing them prefer gifts from their fans never fails to warm the heart
Also, don't be confused with the color. The one in the box might have just reflected all the pink stuff around it. Chances are, its real color is the silver you see on what Sunny's wearing.

Its the same color.. Its just that the reflection of the pink pouch made the necklace sort of changed its color
I think she wears it to gather strength from it. Yup. Just wild estimates here but I'm sure they remember that SSF sent it to them and that it embodies the love of all of their fans in a way that no single fan sent gift can do. So I feel like this necklace in particular, Sunny wears to have strength when she is tired and travelling all over and wants to juts relax. She remembers how much the fans love SNSD and can pull through the exhaustion and the desire to have her own space for just a little bit more.
