Country: Reunion/FRANCE (Well Reunion Island is often listed in country even if it's an oversea part of France)
postcard:Recto
I posted today. It usually takes 4-5 days to reach USA. Hope it won't be delay and that my postcard will arrive in time.
I sent it with a registered letter so that I can follow it on internet. Well that's what the employee suggested me to do. I'll post here when it'll work because right now it's returning nothing :s

▀▄▀▄ guidelines !
↗ types of postcards
- bought only! please pick a postcard that has a nice scenic picture of your country/city or something unqiue.
- cardboard material only. Not printing paper
↗ postcard dimensions
- The minimum size for a postcard is 5 inches long (12.7 cm) and 3 ½ inches high (8.89 cm). The maximum size for postcards is 6 inches long(15.24 cm) and 4 ¼ inches (10.79 cm) high
↗ what must be on your postcard
- message itself
- (this should go at the end of your message) Username @soshified e.g grandma deer @soshified followed by
- City - Country e.g Auckland - New Zealand
- You may include your real name if you wish to but username and locations is a must.
- Include "Right now it's a Global Generation Happy 4th Anniversary, Girls' Generation!" in your native language [Global Generation can be left in English wherever it fits in the phrase -- if you don't know of another language it's fine to leave it in English but please include this towards the end.]. You can also write a short message to the Girls (keep in mind to not overflow the postcard. 3-4 lines is sufficient). All messages will be screened so make sure to check the CAN and CANNOT section before you write your postcard.
↗ content of message/ideas for what to write
- congratulate the girls on their 4th anni
- tell them about your country
- a place in your country/city you would recommend them visiting.
- remember the theme of this project is "Global Generation". We want to show SNSD the world!
- You may decorate your postcard with drawings and stickers etc but make sure your message is clear and can be read
↗ what you CANNOT write on the postcard
- Absolutely no profanity and offensive messages
- No sexual content. Keep it PG
- The postcard is addressed to SNSD as a whole so please no not write anything bias including pairings e.g "Taeyeon your are my favorite member" or "SunSic is the best pairing on earth"
- When you are telling them about your country DON'T DEMAND THEM TO COME TO YOUR COUNTRY. Instead write something like "if you visit New Zealand I would take you girls to.."
- No other type of identification and that includes emails or addresses or phone numbers because that's just plain creepy
- Do not advertise other fansites
- All postcards will be skimmed for appropriateness and we have the right to trash any cards that we deem inappropriate
↗ acceptable and unacceptable examples
▀▄▀▄ deadline & etc !
- Deadline: July 15, 2011 (please make sure you check with your post office and allow enough time for the postcard to reach us. It is your problem if the postcard doesn't come in time.
- If you are unsure about what to do then leave your question in this thread
▀▄▀▄ checklist & where to send your postcard !
- Please make sure to send your post card in an envelope! And do not just send us the postcard directly. If you want to donate to use this as an opportunity to mail a donation (USD only) for the 4th Anniversary as well please leave a note with your username and the amount.
- After you've finished your post card please fill this out and post in the thread:

okay, shall do Hyoyeonce another favour by summarising what we need to do and for people who cant be bothered to read:
1) First, you buy a postcard that shows a good scenery of your place. If your postcard do not fit the size requirements, it is okay but do make sure the size is the closest you can get to the stated requirements. If you are going to make your own, please make sure its printed on a cardboard and are of similar quality to the usual ones.
2) You then write your message on the back of the postcard, and you are to leave the address area empty. It can be omitted to make more room for your message.
3) After writing, remember to include "Right now it's a Global Generation" and "Happy 4th Anniversary, Girls' Generation" in your native language somewhere on the postcard. If you do not know of any other language except English, it is fine to leave the two phrases in English.
4) Before placing the postcard in an evelope, take a picture of it and post it here on Soshified. To have an image link, use photo sharing portals such as tinypic.
5) If you hope to make a donation towards the funds of the upcoming 4th Anniversary Projects, you can place the money, only acceptable in USD, with the postcard, SEALED IN AN ENVELOPE. No small items such as bracelets or keychains are accepted.
6) You then write the following address on the envelope:
Cara Austin
1138 N. Germantown Pkwy
Suite 101
Cordova, TN 38016
United States
So if you don't live in America, yes, it will be an overseas letter so please note the correct postage fees for your local post office.
7) After the team recieves and approves of it, they will post your name here:
Recieved and Approved postcards
8) And your job ends here. The team will compile all the postcards and send it over to SNSD together with the 4th Anniversary gifts.
@hyoyeonce: as usual, correct me if I am wrong.
Members are certainly welcome to do that. We've said before that people can get together and send their postcards in as a group to save on costs. That is not, however, something we will organize. There's simply too much going on with 4th anni prep. But we do hope everyone knows that you CAN send postcards in as a group. Whatever makes it the easiest on everyone.

Answer:
Please read the information on the first page. Again. And again. Until you understand completely what you need to do, what you can do, and what you cannot do.Please make sure to send your post card in an envelope! And do not just send us the postcard directly.

Country: Singapore
Postcard: Hi, I did a very dumb thing, which is I forgot to take a picture & i've already posted the card. So I tried to search online, and this is the closest to the postcard: http://www.flickr.co...l75/5099870954/
Hope you'll recognise the card!

On the envelope. The postcards are to be given to SNSD, no address should be written on them.hii i hav a question before sending my postcard
does the address on the first post go on the envelope or the postcard itself?
i hope u guys can answer this ^^
good luck to everyone in sending in ur postcard too!
First question answered:sorry guys, first time sending a postcard and im stupid. Um iv got a few questions, on my postcard theres a blank space on the left hand side then lines on the right side and 4 small boxes underneath. On the lines am i writing my city and name and stuff? and on the blank space i write my message? AND do i have to include "Right now it's a global generation" ? AND 1 more thing, were abouts do i put the address to send the card to? on the envelope or on the actual postcard? Anyone please answer any of these questions!!! thankss!!
Yes you can make room off the address area! Just make sure lol to not write too much because some of the Girls' english aren't that great and took much can be overwhelming....
Second question:
Under "What must be on your postcard" from first page
So yes, you have to.Include "Right now it's a Global Generation [Global Generation can be left in English wherever it fits in the phrase -- if you don't know of another language it's fine to leave it in English but please include this towards the end.] Happy 4th Anniversary, Girls' Generation!" in your native language.
Third question:
Been asked and answered multiple times.
On the envelope. The postcards are to be given to SNSD, no address should be written on them.

Country: USA
Postcard: The envelope.
When I was in the process of sending it, I accidentally sealed it without taking a photo of the actual postcard. But I did post the envelope it was in, and my username is on the return address for proof. If you need any sort of description, the card is set in Waikiki, a town in Hawaii, and it's a bit of a cityscape with some palm trees here and there.

Thanks heaps for answering the last questions Icarus but i have ONE more, my postcard is exactly 17 centimeters by 12 centimeters, its the closest size i could find with a picture of my city on it. Would this still be accepted!? i couldn't bare if it wasn't
hyoyeonce answered similar questions previously:
If it's the smallest one you can find then I'm sure it's fine with the project managers.Whatever the smallest size is that you can find is acceptable.
