okay, so i went to kfest 2009. it was super fun, and i think that there were some great performances. i was really excited about SNSD's performance, and my excitement was growing even more as the hours went by. soooo... when their performance finally came around, i expected myself to be screaming my head off, jumping up and down, dancing to gee, etc. but, strangely, i wasn't. there were a few disappointments that really put a damper on my entire experience:

First, their mics weren't freaking working. like, seriously? they're only there for three measly songs, and you're not going to make sure that their mics were in full working order? ughh.... nonetheless, the girls who you could hear singing sounded great! especially tiffany with her loud, booming voice.

Second, disorganization! the girls last year seemed super ready for their performance, but something this year just didn't seem right. especially at the point when they were supposed to introduce themselves and stuff. there was no personal introduction, and it even seemed like they hadn't decided who was going to speak before they came on stage. something just seemed... off.

Third, SOOOOOO disappointed that the girls didn't come out for the finale. i mean, i know that it's probably not the girls' fault, and i'm sure that their managers, higher ups, didn't allow them to come out... i DON'T KNOW! but, i was sorely disappointed that the girls did not come out for the finale. in my humble opinion, i think that it really made them look bad and "too cool" for the finale. like, especially since they probably knew that a LOT of the people there came to see them personally. sad. i think it just reflected poorly on them. if ANYONE knows of why they didn't come out in the finale, i'd really like to know. i really don't mean to bash on the girls; i'm just confused about the whole ordeal.

anyway, that is my two cents on everything. gosh, i'm going out on a limb posting this, and i'm probably going to offend some hardcore fans out there, but honestly, i'm a HUGE fan myself. eek...

but, to end this post on a positive note, the girls looked great! the "solo" appearances by jessica and teayeon were SOOO good! and, the fans, of course, really came out to support.

ok now this, if some1 really support & love them no matter wat happen...
u'll just enjoying the show & feeling free to screaming for ur idol~

not to complain did they prepared or not~
as we know they're just a little girls~
we want them to be perfect? that's impossible~
but it's possible for the REAL fans cos they're already the No.1 inside ur heart~
i'm not here to ague or said some1 was wrong...
it's just to say i'll support no matter wat mistake they done~ that's all~

I feel the same way, just from reading up on HB; kinda sucks that they didn't show up at the end.

I hope the girls are better next year and perform perfectly with all 9 members.
But people like me didn't even get to go so you are very lucky to have been able to go even though there were many flaws to the performance

Too bad they couldn't participate in the finale. But there will be all these "higher-ups" - Koreatimes and other local kyupo sponsors who determine their schedule by the hour. The Asian community in Southern California is huge and powerful and whenever celebrities and politicians visit from their own countries there are all these private meetings going on that people don't know about. So there were probably these schedules that we won't know about. I'm pretty sure that's the case since the powerful Koreatimes is the only one who can allow them to leave early.

i have to agree w/ you.... i felt EXACTLY the same way... i expected myself to go crazy but i was chill.... the disorganization...the transition b/w the songs were ehhh... the mics were pretty bad... i could barely hear them singing... they didn't come out in the finale.. i was REALLY disappointed... i noticed aLOT of SONES were disappointed too...

It does suck to go to a concert and not have the girls out in the finale. I mean, that's where the fan interactions are. But seriously, it does make them look "too good". Ehhhh, either way, we know the girls aren't like that from the other personal fan accounts we've read. Thanks for the fan account, the SSF staff seems awesome.

Soy asked Tiffany why they didn't show up in the finale Tiffany said she was surprised and didn't know why either. I'm telling you, the rush from the darn managers. Grrr.

i left the festival during the ending song and from far away (security guards blocked everyone off) snsd was in the parking lot waiting for their car. I think they had to go catch a flight. And a lot of people didn't come back for the ending song only GOD and SS501.

Goodness you sound so disappointed! Really, so long as you saw them and supported them its okay. I feel you in the finale they weren't there but they have their reasons, and people shouldn't judge them just because they have busy schedules ... thanks for sharing, any picutrers??

yea...i mean i really loved the performances and stuff but something did seem a little off...
i was super duper pissed when snsd did not com out in the finale part....even shinee didnt com out

I saw them at the hotel like at 2AM and they had lots of bags, they didn't had a flight to catch tho, I saw them around in the airport today ^^ they had an early flight, same time as mine, maybe that's why?

Sorry you were disappointed! At least you got to go hahah ^^ Anyway, that does suck that they didn't make sure the mics were at 100% ><. Many people must have felt like you. To go far for a concert of groups you love and it turns out they have crappy mics.

It seems really strange to me that the biggest group there never seems to stay for the finale. I don't know if they're trying to beat the crowd out or it's a respect thing but it's just really disappointing for fans.
