I, being the listless kid I was, ran out to retrieve it. The old man saw me going for my ball and he sped down to stop me. I barely got out the gate when he stopped me and held me firmly. After waiting for a while for the cars to stop and the lights to turn green, he cautiously got my ball back. He looked angry.
