it feels so good coming home after 10 months. I screwed up most of my classes but i did well on my major classes which are ok. I heard you went to Costa Rica, have you got back yet?

Congrats Dani, your dream has come true. Not just SNSD but the whole SM Town will come to Paris this june....(why cant they make it like the 20th or smt....i had my last final exam on june 10 >_<

it's not the first time the government was on the edge of shutting down. I remembered during clinton's admin, the government had to shut down twice but this one is more severe because of the economy. *Sigh* I hope things'll go well till i graduate.

You know, the way the government almost shut down this Friday, I don't doubt there's ridiculous budget cuts everywhere... All your passion is gone? D: Tell me I'm misinterpreting! And geez, all the money issues floating around are really killing people these days...

sometimes i wonder if i had tried my best, i would have been accepted to some Ivys but i'm happy with where i am. My school is not too bad but it's not on top either. Just thinking of dedicating 4 years in college just study and not having time to do anything else frustrate me. If you really want it, go for it. Whether it's NW or Harvard, just learn to enjoy your life, will ya?

ucla isnt an exception w/ the budget cut. I think even berkeley has budget cut too. I think the worst matter is public schools nowadays cant hire new teachers. I feel like my passion has all gone w/ my current professors. Not just me but my friends as well but the schools cant do anything about it since they have no budget....

Schools are just looking for like Affirmative Action stuff and "diversity". Which works against us asians :P. All these weird decisions are making me nervous for next year...Awww... I'm sorry about the budget cuts! That sucks! Isn't UCLA already expensive enough without adding all this bad cuts?

Yeah...My friend got waitlisted from Harvard when another friend of mine w/ the EXACT same stats in SAT, ACT, and GPA got accepted. They both had around the same leadership qualifications and E.Cs too. The waitlisted one did research tho as well as placed 2nd in a national tournament...but yeah, the other friend (same school and they're friends) was accepted. The accepted is Syrian, other is Asian

Yep. Med school if I can manage getting into the accelerated/guaranteed med programs. If not, then I guess I'll go do business :P
And yeah, you can finish MUCH sooner with these programs, but you have to sacrifice lots of school time. But I would've sacrificed summers anyways, since I plan on doing research in college :D!

i think schools nowadays are just weird. I know someone who did really well in high school w/ 1600 on Math+CR but got rejected from Cornell but he got accepted into NW thou. Big schools tend to look only at Math + CR unless you're journalism, pol sci, etc. major which is not the case here, so i guess you're fine. I'm so frustrated w/ my schools now w/ all the budget cuts and stuff. Gah~

oh right, you wanna go to med school? Save you lots of time thou but i thought you could go straight to a med school and graduate after 5 years, right? that's what i heard but you practically have no summer break if you choose to follow it.
btw, dont go to public schools. They're getting bad now, i'm thinking of switching to a private school like usc or smt.

The purpose, if they do move me up thanks to my APs, is exactly to shorten up my time in college LOL. If I get into med school, I want to shorten the time I spend so I can get a life sooner LMAO. I'm not sure if I should take Lin Alg next year for high school tho...

Argh, see, the thing is, I'm still worried about my Writing section because, granted, it doesn't suck THAT badly, it's not perfect and I mean, a 2400 can't hurt... But I know what you mean! I went to a University of Chicago open house on Monday and they said they only care about the CR and Math, so I'm lucky. On the topic of white hairs, I think I'll go prematurely old...:x

So yeah... Anyways, backtracking, I'm not too sure about AP credit nowadays, since I've more or less become focused on the GPA benefits they give me in high school for the college app LOL.
I know I don't need 2300+ for NW regular, but I'm trying for the HPME program, which is insanely competitive...
