You've got a nice cast of characters so you gotta make a plot that will bring out their individual charms. Your brief description really made them pop, especially with their set roles in Volleyball. The plot really is up to you but it definitely has to be dynamic like you said. Perhaps someone leaves the team then rejoins? Someone gets injured? Just some ideas to get you going.
