At Surah Baqarah Ayat 21, Allah said:
"O mankind! Worship your Lord, who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Al-Muttaqun"
I see that the purpose of worshipping Allah is for us to be Al-Muttaqun. :).

I see :>. What I do is, I understand the Ayah, then alongside I try to memorize it :>. The companions of our Prophet (PBUH) used to is, they would take an Ayah, then they will study the haram and halal in the Ayah then they will proceed to the next Ayah :>.
