Yoo Gwansoon is a female student that participated/lead the Korean liberation movement on March 1st 1919, during the forceful Japanese occupation of Korea (1910 - 1945).
She was captured and tortured by the Japanese authorities for her involvement.
She died at the age of 16 in prison and her sacrifice is still remembered and marked by the March 1st Korean Liberation Movement day in Korea
