I think there are many more members from other countries than Korea actually, that could be a reason. They're very popular in other Asian countries from what I noticed.
I've read that some say they destroyed k-pop by making it evolve into something more kitschy (they focus too much on dance and they don't sing well live). What's your opinion of them, compared to other k-pop groups ?
