Hey, Karl:
I guess first, your budget matters. Once you determine that then decide whether you want a pre-built or computer you put together yourself. Three things are a critical: Memory, FSB and if your mobo is expandable. You can have the most memory but if your FSB cannot handle, it'll cap off anyway. Dedicated gfx card with at least 1gb ram. Hope that helps. :)
