About Me

I'm a guy who gets to travel to Korea on business about two or three times a year. This has allowed me to satisfy my K-Pop addiction - "Everysing Myeongdong," anyone?? I don't yet speak much Korean, beyond basic conversations, but I try to learn something new each trip.

I love Girls' Generation for their beauty, poise, awesome voices and dance moves. It looks effortless, but I know that the reality is far from it, years of hard work and dedication. I love that they can look sexy without being overly provacative (trashy). I love that they can all work together towards a common goal, the value of teamwork, how inspiring is that! I love that Taeyeon can be strong, sweet, and sexy all at the same time. YoonA for her look of innocence and maturity.

Anyways...if you get to Korea and want to find K-Pop CDs/DVDs: Beyond Everysing (all things SM) The Hamilton Shopping Center in Itaewon is another great place to find K-pop CDs, though I'm very bummed out that the "Music Korea" store across the street from the Hamilton closed last year. Lotte and E-Mart are kind of hit-or-miss, they'll have the current hits, but not much depth. There's an underground shopping area near the Daegu city center subway which has a Hot Tracks and a book store with a music section, but unfortunately, i can't remember any 411 than that.

All female K-pop, which I only became interested in because of Girls' Generation; seeing the "Oh!" video in 2010 playing on a display television in a Yousong, Korea electronics store and wondering aloud, "who are these gorgeous girls"?
"SoNyuhShiDae", the store employee replied.
"Oh, okay, kamsahamnida..." Slowly, but certainly I built my GG discography (I love the free posters you get when you buy the CDs in Korea!!!).

Other interests include music in general, writing lyric poetry, and most stuff sci-fi. :)
