I first heard of Girl's Generation in about September of 2011. We bought an ebook and had it shipped form Hong Kong. It came preloaded with one sample video...Echo.
When i first heard the song, I thought it was in English, but then the cute girls on the screen started singing in s foreign language I couldn't quite place. I googled the words from the chorus "Echo in my brain" and found the same video on YouTube.
After a whole lot of research and some iTunes purchases (including the iPhone app) I am now totally hooked on Girl's Generation even though I can't understand a word they are saying. (Except the English of course)
They are a talented bunch of girls and I hope they retain their own style and don't turn the *****cat Dolls type. they seem really sweet and I hope they stay that way.
I live in BC, Canada but I'm American. I teach dance and musical theater.
