After seeing the news about the fansign I decided to book a flight to NY in order to see soshi again, a lot of the people I hung out with at SMTown were also flying in so it was great having a reunion with awesome sones from all over the nation. I arrived in LGA around 10pm and waited for 3 other sones to land. We then went to our hotel, checked in, and headed off to Best Buy to check out the line. We got there around midnight, and found over 100 people in line already. One of the BB staff went down the line writing numbers on our hands (I got 112) and told us that the official line wasn't forming until 6am. I'll skip the 6 hour wait, but suffice to say it was almost freezing and we didn't have much to do besides try to catch up on some sleep. At 6 am BB started letting people into the store, and we were able to wait for 2 hours inside the store.
At 8am, BB starts going through the line and selling albums and putting wristbands on people. Our group decided to go back to the hotel and get some rest before coming back to BB to queue up for the fansign. By noon we were up and taking a taxi back to BB. We went through ever hour or so and were told that we weren't allowed in the store until 5pm, or we would be escorted out. Our group got some food at a burger place a couple blocks away and spent some time getting some last minute gifts for the girls. A line had formed outside BB again, but this time management said that it couldn't be formed and that they would call the police. They set up a mini barricade and a huge crowd started gathering.
At 4pm, the GG bus rolled up across the street, causing a massive stampede of fans to take pics of the girls. I followed slowly since I knew there was no way the girls would be showing up 3 hours early.
At 5pm BB started letting people in, although only from the left side of the barricade. Which resulted in crazy pushing from the right side as everyone tried to squish into one line. I managed to get in pretty early, but our group got completely separated. I did meet some people from Taiwan who i had a short chat with in the line. Here we waited another 2 hours until the fansign.
BB employees and workers started telling people about various rules. We were only allowed to get The Boys signed, only on one page, no touching the girls, have to give gifts to the managers instead of the girls, no chatting with the girls, etc. Needless to say many people were very disappointed. I talked shortly with one of soshi's managers, as well as KBS (??) news crew there. They took some pics of my 2011 SNSD Tour shirt. At 7 the line finally started to move, and we all eagerly waited our chance to see the girls. When I got to the front I was so excited I couldn't stand still.
Only managed to get 1 good picture, the other 3 came out pretty blurry. I slowly walked up to tiffany and handed her my album for her to sign. We chatted a bit about high school, but it was a really long time ago and I didn't get much time before the manager moved me on. I don't remember what I said to a lot of the girls, I was in a daze half the time. I remember saying happy birthday to Sooyoung in Korean, and she smiled and thanked me. When I got to Yoona my mind just blanked, there were rumors the whole day that she already flew out and seeing her just overwhelmed me. I don't think I got much out except...."you're here"
Before I moved on I asked for a handshake and got it!!! I told Sunny that she was the most adorable thing ever, and wished Taeyeon luck with MuCore. Yuri signed with a silver marker.
After wards, our group gathered outside and spazzed like crazy. Each member looked us in the eyes, and thanked us for coming out for the fansign. It was so amazing being able to meet and talk to them, no matter how short. I was sooo ready to go on that ride again, unfortunately they cut my wristband off right before I walked up to the girls. We rounded the corner to where the bus was parked to get ready for the girls to exit BB. The people in the street were pretty crazy and kept pushing up so I wasn't able to get very good pics. I was basically shooting completely blind once the girls came out.
