Hey fellow SONEs, My name is JR and it's taken me a while to decide just how much I want to participate here on the forums. So here goes (Diving in head first), I'm a 24 y/o first gen Filipino American (Made in the US with Filipino Parts) and it was actually my brother(19) and his friends who turned me on to SNSD. I saw the Gee Video and was instantly hooked. And thanks to soshified, I've been able to feed my growing addiction pretty well(I hope I'm not the only one).
A little about me if you care, I joined the USMC when I graduated H.S. in NY and was deployed for nearly 3 years in Okinawa Japan, While there I was privilaged to have visited Korea 2x, Thailand 2x, Mainland Japan x5, Vietnam, Cambodia, New Zealand, Austrailia, Sri Lanka during the 2005 tsunami, and my parents native P.I. (Zambo for 1 year w/ the special forces). I also served in Afganistan for 3 months where I taught the afganis haz mat procedures and did my part in the war on terror. I served as an instructor, haz mat specialist, and division webmaster. My last duty station was S. Maryland with the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, and while there I realized my true passion was healing and caring for others so... I've been out of the Marines for 2 years now and I'm a 3d semester nursing student at AACC (Anne Arundel Community Coll) I work as a Nursing Student Tech for the Veterans Hospital in Baltimore.
I just love how there's a community devoted to showing and sharing love for these great young women who work so hard to create great music and great performances... I feel like they really do make people happy. And (soapbox), in today's world... It's more important now, more than ever, that we stop every once in a while to smell the roses, feel the sun on our skin, and the wind in our hair. Having said that, SNSD is a warm summer day in the middle of a beautiful garden. (hope my metaphor isn't too bad).
Just a little about me so... hope it wasn't too wordy and I hope to be posting more in the future. Thanks everyone
