I imagine it wouldn't be very pleasant to be reading doubtfire's fics and you suddenly find out doubtfire is actually a fat man sitting naked behind his com drinking beer and eating junk while typing out Hearts and Crimes/Of Death and Eternity/a short story/whatever.

I used to be a silent reader, until I a)decided to finally voice my appreciation for my favourite authors and b)started my own fics and didn't want karma to come bite me in the ass.
